As then, still now, remains the best tutorial on RU-vid for install on any of the available plug-in and play chip boxes for the Fiat 124 Spider including the Abarth tuned version (All require hook up to the turbo booster Sensor pinned like a pain in the a*se down-low in the engine block!). Without it, I'd have given up, the install guidance from every provider of these on the market is dire! Very well done video. I think if you drove it around for 20 minutes or so then do your test you may have seen better results. It gives the ECU a bit of time to adopt to Chipbox. Regardless thank you for a well done video! Maybe test it again now to see if their are further improvements. THANK YOU!!
Good test but you need to test it on full power .. otherwise it’s a waist of time.one of the best ones out there is the TDI tuning box , a uk made company.
Dude, you can't be serious.. Percentage decrease in elapsed time does not translate on a 1 to 1 basis to horsepower increase. A 17% increase in speed does not equate to a 17% increase in horsepower. Who told you this? For instance for a 2400 lb, 177 hp car to drop from a 14 second to a 13 second quarter mile requires an increase of 43 horsepower. Translate it to percentages, a 7.6% decrease in elapsed time requires a 24% increase in horsepower. Google it if you don't believe me there's lots of calculators out there they're all gonna get about the same number. You went through a lot of trouble to put out incorrect information.
Hey man, did you chip your 4C? I'm thinking of getting a stage 1, but I'm afraid of the transmission. This goddamn transmission is the weak point. Also, I just replaced the race exhaust with a Quicksilver V1. Also, the last question, do you know how to replace the engine lid glass? Some of the bottom frit on mine is missing. I'm massively OCD and I wonder if I could just remove the glass, put some black tape and then put it back. Thank you for all the videos you do on the 4C btw.
No I haven't done any tuning on the 4C, but I think "stage 1" would be just fine for reliability. The 4C is already pretty nuts from the factory. The 124 is the "easy" car 😄
