In this video I review what is good and bad about this 2015 Fiat 500X Pop Star in this very classy green. I have to say I was surprised, it was better than I expected.
Yeah it doesn’t drive like a Beemer but then it costs only a quarter. I’ve owned a 140hp 500x petrol for two years now and while I’m nor a fan of SUV’s either, I love it to death. The stereo, which is standard is quite good as you mention, the center console navigation screen never catches the sunlight to blind me unlike my old Clio iv which was annoyingly reflectice, and every drive is a joyous and cherished occasion again, unlike my old Clio which was so unmemorable that often I forgot when I had driven it. I had a VW Polo once and it was downright depressing to drive. I’ve tested Mazda 3 current an previous generation as well as Ford Fiesta, Volvo V40 and Kia’s and didn’t really take to any of them for various reason. My 500x might not be objectively the best car in the world, but it manages to be the best car that does not annoy me in any major way. Actually, on tight country roads my 500x makes me smile. I’ve owned three other Fiats and loved them all: 127, Bravo, Stilo and apart from the old 127 which was already long in the tooth when I got it, I’ve never, ever had any reliability issues.
I like how you describe how controls feel in fine details. Some auto reviewers talk about cars in such general terms, that after listening to them for 15 minutes you realise you barely learnt anything about a car. What I haven't seen is probably fuel efficiency, is something people look at when they choose a car, but I assume it's very average, just like all other cars, which is almost a moto for this car :) And also the information is out so no big deal. Over all a great review.
I went with a 2013 Mazda 3 for my first car. The handling was what sold me on it after a test drive; it's so damn snappy and fun to drive. The steering is excellent. Not exactly bursting with power but has plenty for me.

With regards to the Volvo, unless I’m mistaken it’s a feature some cars have to make steering in slow speed scenarios, easier. Say when you’re parking or manoeuvring, having much lighter steering helps.

I'm currently learning to drive in this car its OK but im not keen on the centre control location like demister buttons are a bit small and you need to look away to see them

Neighbour had a Fiat 500L from new for 2 years loved it really nice car I learnt to drive in it I bought a fiat 500 for my first car 14 months old when I bought it had it 17 months I hate the thing 500L was 10 times nicer than the 500 in the next 6 months looking to replace With a brand new 500x

We had a fiat 500l. But we have children. I never drove it but it was ok apparently. I didn't drive then, however it was what I wanted. But I went for a vauxhall. Corsa sa as a first and I need to get my parking right before I can think of a bigger car.

@@ConquerDrivingeven if forward parking? Is it holding people up though adjusting my windows? I think I am just scared of looking looking silly. I was parked quite wide from the curb today and could have gone back but me being too scared to look an idiot got me sister to correct it.
If animal jump on the road, press horn immediately, check mirror inside the car to see if there’s anyone behind you. Itheres no one, press brake. If not, just horn and hit the animal. You need to check everything as fast as possible ofc. If human show up on the road, just press break, also add horn if you have time. No big science, there’s no time for anything else.
MOB MOB hard truth, but it’s you or them. U need to protect yourself first. In the end animal is the one who endanger you by jumping on road, not other way around. When it comes to damage on a car, that’s not priority in that moment, it’s safety again. If is some small animal, most likely damage will not be great if none, if it’s bigger animal tho, it depends how big it is. But remember if animal is not really that close, horn can scared them away.
@@ConquerDriving To be honest, I'm not sure of what the difference is but I think SUV's should have all wheel drive and genuine off road ability. Crossovers being just tall versions of a normal car made to look butch. It seems to be that most SUV/crossovers are fashion statements. The 'command' driving position is great but not if everyone on the road has one.
You talking about totally diffrent car. First : adjust your seat to the bottom, turn jog to SPORT MODE. You will see how diffrent car you driving. Put K&N filter under bonnet and you will see all diffrence. It drives like 2.0 .
Well, learners aren't gonna drive "the smallest cars possible" after they pass their test, are they? So it's better to learn in a normal car. And his teaching car isn't big either, it's Seat Leon I believe, a normal hatchback.
Whenn you get that pieace of paper,you are not driver,you just get paper that alows you to drive ,I'm now in driving school,first I was driving vw polo 2018,switch to vw 2018 up,smaller car,easier to paralel park,slow manuvers,only thing is lack of engine power uphill. Got at home skoda 1.9 sdi..don't have hill start,don't need hill start,don't have parking camera. Basic of driving is easier to learn on small car,then on bigger ones,at least for ke it is.
Driving instructors use the car for themselves, and in a way it's like their office... That's why they are quite luxurious and powerful compared to a realistic first car
Smaller cars aren't always the easiest to park in my experience, there are other more important factors to make a car easier to park. Higher quality cars are easier to drive and more refined. A powerful petrol is more forgiving when you get the wrong gear and finally if you're a full time driving instructor sitting in something like an Aygo for 10 hours a day is draining and I will not be on point. The fiat is not a driving school car, this is a car my other business is selling.

I've had many Fiats and never had any major problems ,and the driver is right the interior is no rival for audi ,I was in an s line 70 plate yesterday and it's a plastic pig. My 16 plate 500x feels luxurious by comparison .
