Fiat Bravo review with Jeremy Clarkson 

The Bravo HGT is just the Italian EG6. Lovely 20v 5 cylinder from Lancia with variable timing, and very fun to drive.

@@takao4491 True. I have one and i love it. Although gettin' HGT specific parts for it is pain in the B which is sad.

I just bought it. How did it catch fire?

Tragically, almost everything that could have gone wrong did. Something in the throttle assembly snapped so it wouldn’t idle, offside suspension sagged (hadn’t noticed until its first MOT but when it was fixed, the car felt taller), power steering sprang a leak and had to be replaced, head gasket failure on the M42 in a contraflow, cam gasket failure (source of the potential fire - stopped just in time as hot oil fumes entered the cabin), head gasket (again), cam gasket (again - knew what the smoke meant!), brake lines in the engine bay, head gasket for the last time. There was something up with that engine for sure! The thing is, I really liked the car and so kept getting it fixed. It was roomy, peppy and funky. I reckon if any have survived to today, they were better built than mine.

I daily one of these, the jtd isn't fast but won't let you down.

Beautiful cars. Wish they had them in my country.

That model wasn't available at launch, so nothing to mention at time of filming.

1.2 16v and 2.0 20v engines were offered in later models.

I used to see a lot of them so that's no true at all.

They sold a lot , not the brava tho

10k in 1995 would be about 17k today. There are cheaper new cars out there now.
