But it does use some oil from new. I have the 1.4 N/A version in my 2019 Fiat Tipo.

@@nikosz66 actually it's not rare. Almost all Tipo's equipped with that engine use some oil, even the dealership says it's normal for it.

I guess its a 16valve engine. Its not the same like the 8valve FIRE of the Panda.

@@MsDoldi Ja się cały czas czaje na pande, strasznie mi się podoba, żonie tak samo się podoba więc będzie łatwiej kupic 😉 W jakimś teście słyszałem, że mało stabilna jest przy wyzszej prędkości tak powyżej setki, prawda to?

GreenTea yeah, I know, which is why I think it’s a fine car, just not up to modern standards, I may have worded it a bit too harsh. The 500 is also quite the budget car though and even with all of the options on the 500, I’d rather get this because of the higher practicality

Miss July true, but the thing with the 500X and Renegade is that they are crossovers, they look big and in general have worse full efficiency

@iRedstone100 And still you can use it on highways no problem. Have a mk2 with 110000km and never refused any sort of ride. On highways, keep it under 110kmh and you will get an excellent fuel economy (4-4,5l\100km). It is not powerfull by any means but for a small car under 1 tone it is capable of keeping up with traffic. You have to use the gearbox and keep the momentum when going uphill. Just like in many other things in life, you can't have the best of both worlds. This car was made to be simple, reliable and cheap and is fun to drive in its own way.

@@farmoboy83 I have just bought a 2009 1.2 Grande Punto and you have to really work it through the gears too....and the first hill I went up I couldn't believe the loss of speed! Before this I had a 1.1 Clio and it was much more powerful and more economical too. I've owned lots of Fiat's in the past and always loved them, but this Grande Punto is taking a lot of getting used to

@@adarbs6384 mk2 punto is a lot lighter and the euro 2 and 3 fire engine is way better than modern 69hp. The grand punto is really underpowered with this engine.

a bad replace in my opinion. The new engine has even less torq than the old fire. I doubt it will use less petrol and the alluminium engine if slightly overheated must be replaced. In my opinion this new engine is only an improvement if turbocharged. We will loose the long therm reliability but at least have a lot more power.

@@farmoboy83 Panda, 500 and y are 0 euro NCAP stars. They all are at the end of their production and will be replaced with new frame of Peugeot 208/Ople Corsa, and built in Poland. The engine firefly is the result of the new restrictions by pollution of CO2 (Euro 6D). I live in Bologna (Emilia), and this summer we have a top of 39°C. In Sicily near Siracusa a top of 49°C. But the problem is the increasing of population all oaver the world. If in 1900 year world population was 1.7 billion, in 2000 year was 7.4 billion and forcast for 2050 is about 11.5 billion.
