I use this method. But, run into two problems. 1. Referring back later is more difficult because of notebook accumulation. I usually migrate anything important back to my A5 as a result. 2. Long form notes at an all-day meeting can easily fill a single book. I prefer to use one Field Notes for all calendar spreads and a second for rapid logging. This helps me reduce the need for migrating those spreads from book to book as i fill it up with dailies.
Yeah similar for me as far as note taking. I’m just using mine as a kind of rolling To Do list and events calendar. I also have a couple of trackers. I do my note taking in a larger notebook. Usually in a meeting my notes are about 50/50 notes and doodles. That would eat up a field notes in a hurry. Thanks for watching Joseph!
Been carrying a notebook every day for about a year now. While I really like the Field Notes, I found the staples get rusty, especially down in the southern US. And I burn through one every month or so. The Moleskine Cahiers notebooks are have a sewn binding, and the last half of the notebook has perforated pages, so I prefer those. Would be nice to have a USA made option. Going to give Rite in the Rain stapled notebooks a try next month. They are slimmer and shorter, so they will definitely not last me the whole month.
