Excellent visual and explanation. I am a new MPX-K owner. I really enjoy using it. Your video gave me confidence to disassemble and clean it. Thank you again. Well done. Best regards.
Thanks for the detailed breakdown. One minor detail - I noticed at 4:15 when you took the cam pin out, the divot was on the bottom. When you put the cam pin back in, at 10:55 the divot was facing up. I don't know what difference this would make but the cut out in the cam pin would be at a different angle.
@@thetexasgunvault Some accuracy issues people have had were from the barrel bolts not being torqued correctly. I personally will continue to use the torque wrench and read Sig’s current user manual since the torque spec has changed 3 times for these bolts.
Appreciate this video. Would like to pick up some extra MPX K firing pin retaining pins (cotter pin) to have on hand for future cleanings. Not an easy part to get reinserted. Can definitely see this becoming damaged or lost with frequent cleanings. Where can it be purchased from?
I was just about to say there's a parts breakdown on page 96 of the manual, but it doesn't tell you a part number. I found the part number 1700005-R on Brownells, but they're out of stock. Optics planet has them in stock. It's the correct part number, but the picture on optics planet is wrong. I would probably call and confirm before hitting the order button. I got my mpx last night, and didn't break it down that far yet, but I'm very thankful I read your comment. Having extra firing pin retaining pins is a great idea.
Not sure why yours has issues removing the firing pin and cam pin when dirty, mine come right out if not tap it on the table and it falls right out (for the firing pin) cam pin comes right out too 🤔
I have a gen 3 mpx k and was wanting to purchase a radian raptor CH I’ve heard some people say it scrapes the receiver, is this true ? Or maybe it was just a problem with older gen mpx models cause it looks sweet and I’d love to upgrade the Stock CH to Radians but it seems the problem is the bolt is having trouble closing all the way with a mag inserted I never had this problem with the stock Charging handle and I obviously recently removed the bolt and CH to install the Radian one
@@thetexasgunvault thanks so much gonna order one now haha cause it seems like these are hard to come by in 2023 today the company emailed me and said fde and gray are discontinued
Back again unfortunately I installed the radian raptor charging handle and I’ve on mine I see scraping all along the top of the handle right on the logo not sure if this is normal and using the radian I have to pull the handle back with more force and release it all the way back for it to chamber the round correctly if the mag is inserted in the mpx and I try to rack it back I have to do it with force as well… if the mag is inserted and I use the bolt release to close it it chambers no problem it’s very weird, also I have no lifter or anything on my radian Handle my mpx is gen 3 and I’m using the new sig mpx mags… do you think I could have possibly put the bolt in wrong with the ejector not all the way forward or do I just need to oil the shit out of this radian CH very confusing may take it to my local gunsmith/store see what they think I didn’t experience any of these problems with the stock CH
