Fifth-Century Heresies: The Mystery of the Trinity with R.C. Sproul 

The Trinity will never be understood because as the title says, it’s a mystery!! If it’s a mystery it can’t be understood or explained, which is why so many Councils were needed!! Question: how many councils did non-trinitarians attend?? None that I know of because the Bible was clear that the Father is God, and that Jesus is his Son. What part of that is hard to understand?? Our Heavenly Father didn’t even inspire his own apostles to convene to discuss the nature of the Father, the Son, or the HS. It was so laid out in scripture.

The heresies are against what man says and not against what the Bible says. In other words the Trinity is nonsense and because of this each heresy is against their nonsense not against the Bible. They spin doctor it to make out the heresy is against the Bible. So what is the clear teaching of the Bible? It teaches that God is God and Jesus is his only begotten Son. God is the God of Jesus and is also his Father. Mary is the mother of Jesus. Jesus was born, lived and died. He was resurrected by God and given all authority on earth and in heaven. He sits at the right hand of God and will eventually hand everything back to God. So there you have it. A child can understand it. 😅

They love to debate and they can turn the conversation into a debate but Be patient with them and focus on Jesus Christ. And Don’t forget to pray for their Salvation.

Jesus is one in essence (being), one in person. He has two natures, one divine and one human which do not mix (monophysitic heresy) and neither are they separate (nestorian heresy).

What can be more practical in Christianity then to know God you believe? Without correct understanding who christian God is you cannot call yourself a Christian.

R L - I can find no translation of Hebrew 3:2 that reads 'faithful to him who created him', I can only find 'faithful to him who appointed him'. On the surface, it would appear at first glance that you've literally just taken the word 'appointed' and changed it to 'created', which would be a terrifyingly brazen alteration of God's Word to suit yourself. I am, of course, happy to hear if there's a reasonable explanation for this that I've misunderstood.

@@AdvocateSpirit If you use a lexicon when reading Isaiah 40:3 you'll see that John did not prepare the way for a man named "Jesus" but for the Father YHWH. When I found this about 8 years ago, it started me on my journey to truth. Thus I started using a lexicon on everything I read in the bible also a interlinear bible. I was shocked at all the mistranslations and obvious grammatical errors in the KJV which absolutely changed the meaning of many many verses. I.e. all humans who repent and are born of the Fathers spirit are regenerated into divine eloheim because the Father lives in us. His logos/rhema made flesh in me. But YHWH is the ONE and ONLY Divine Eloheim (big D and big E). And what makes it even harder is the Greek doesn't contain many words that the hebrew does and vice versa. Angels are simply messengers and we too will be like the messengers in the resurrection. That's why in Genesis 1, God said let US make man in our image. And angels (messengers) are also spirits and Arch Messengers. As noted in Revelation 2 and 3. The Lamb of God is not a man named Jesus and John the Baptist was never beheaded. The Passover has nothing to do with a sin offering. You may ask yourself why during the last 2k years haven't bible scholars told anyone about these errors. Because they know that would end their ministry immediately and they would be totally rejected, ridiculed, and probably run out of town. And no income after spending tons on a degree in theology. What the church has taught for the last 1700 years is a complete misinterpretation of the gospels which turns out they were originally written as spiritual allegory but later literalized by Rome. The OT defines terms. Such as the virgin daughter of Zion that travails in childbirth was never a woman named Mary and the Son of God is not one person, Revelation 21:7, Isaiah 49:3, Hosea 11:1, Ex. 4:22. The resurrection has nothing do with literal flesh and bone. The bottom line, you won't figure all this out unless you learn the original languages or at least use a lexicon when studying. Even then it can be difficult at times because its very hard to wipe your mind from the indoctrination we've all been subject to thru the churches and society, 40 years for me. But the bible says that if we hunger and thirst after righteousness, we will be filled. And the Father will guide us into ALL truth by his spirit. And we have no need for ANY MAN to teach us. I John 2:27. John 1 doesn't mean what we've been taught and baptism is not literal water but to be washed in the water of the word, the power and wisdom of Yhwh that enters our heart. But no matter how you deduce what logos means and how intangible the logos is in Vs 1. That same intangible logos that is equal with God, becomes flesh in the very same chapter and "dwelt among us". The intangible became tangible. Do you agree with that?

If Jesus was not fully God, how could he have paid fully for our infinite sins?

@@samuelvanderveen9255 Jesus is fully God even if not omnipotent. For some reasons, the almighty God decided to forsake his power. But even without his power God remains fully God, since his identity didn't change in this dramatic transformation. Being crucified was a move freely made by Him to counteract evil. But this has no effect on our sins: we still are fully liable for our actions.

I feel there is difference in the two person's for sure. However, Jesus Godship exceeds holiness. Notice that at John 1:1-3, He was already God. And Gen 1:26,27, they had discussions on making man in THEIR image. That alone is huge, because we are told that we're made in God's image. Jesus also created and was praise by Paul as a creator. He was also worshipped. Only Yahweh could have had that privilege. Yet we still see Jesus thanking God for all that he had. Some feel that that was just because of his human nature. It doesn't make sense cos it was also in human nature that he said that he and God are one. What I feel is that Yahweh had much to do with Jesus attainment to Godship. Jesus may have proceeded from the father as the early christians believed. Yet he is Deity.

You may find this interesting to know: My husband's family are all Jehovah's Witnesses which follow the Arian teachings (which says Jesus is the first created being of Jehovah God). They also believe that Jesus was just a man and was not physically resurrected and that Christians are the heretics for believing Jesus rose physically from the dead and that He is the second member of the trinity (which they also don't believe in), among other things. They absolutely DO NOT call themselves Christians (which basically just means follower of Christ) but instead lump all followers of Christ in a category they call 'Christendom.' Having been on the receiving end of that word more than my fair share of times I can tell you it is said with a sneer of derision.

Have you watched all six videos in this playlist? Or have you just come to leave your misinformation about the Nature of God, along with a nasty accusation about RC Sproul, and then run away? The BIBLE is the source of ALL of our understanding. It tells us all we need to know about God, His Son, His Spirit (the TRINITY, which is BIBLICAL), the Gospel, life and Christian living, Prophecy, the Law, history, poetry, worship, et al. The only motivation you _seem_ to have is to cause division. We know the source of that because the Bible also tells us about the "Father of Lies".
