Fifth Gear: Web TV Edition 13 BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo 

I have a 530d GT. Great car, lots of space for the kids in the rear, sublime to drive.

my dad owns a gt..and he loves it (although he dislikes the smallish boot) its a charm to drive on the autobahn!!! and there are quite a few good features tucked in as well

I'm sure that Range Rover is in a junkyard already

Should've been called the 7 series GT in my opinion. It's nearer to the 7 series than to the 5 series in nearly everything.

X6 is not better. I love the 550i Gran Turismo.

I love Fifth Gear as much as Top gear but Tiff drives better than the stig :)

So that rangie is basically a car to get you drunk and then shoot things....... Sounds responsible! I'm sure that BM is a nice driver, but it looks like an X5 that was reversed at speed into a very very low bridge. Yuk!

Nice Car, Does it not come with seat belts ??? Or are they a BMW optional Extra

It's actually good. You'll get more smooth acceleration and when you're cruising, the auto will change to the 7th or 8th gear so that you'll get the most fuel efficiency :) BMW knows what to do but I have to say I don't really like the design but it's practicality, WHOW!! If you think more, you'll get it ;)

@830sxz It's for the people whose needs are not a black/white issue. If you just want a more spacious passenger cabin in the rear and don't necessarily want to have to get a 7 to facilitate that. You don't need the utility of a wagon or truck, but the folding seats are a plus. After driving and riding around in one over a week long vacation, I actually get it and like it. It's a luxury minivan for people who don't/won't have kids.

Booze and firearms, a wonderful combination. I noticed the cages built at the shooting stations to keep the idiot rich from shooting each other. Never have seen anything like that in the states.

@AlexanderLindell She said fastest ACCELERATING VW. The Phaeton, even with the W12 engine, accelerates significantly slower than the Golf R due to the high weight. And the VW Golf W12 isn't a production car.

the BMW wil sell in Sao Paulo (Brazil) but the bullet proff version :) and in the Range Rover is the guy braking or the back lights are way to strong ? :))

I once hated the looks in pictures but I rather like it after seeing it in person.

He may look the part and certainly posses the necessary vocabulary, but I don't think he'd come out of retirement just for the Land Rover no matter how luxurious it is. Besides, this new fellow deserves a chance.

Well every things in this world has it's own good and bad side. Also the same to this thing LOL :p Since you're an Aussie mate, I think depends. There is also a 6-speed manual for the 535i and 550i F10 5er. Not sure if it's also available in the GT mate...

Very odd that this one is so pixel its like it as filmed on a very bad web cam. This quality is usually better. The vid quality ruins this so can fully enjoy the cars shown.

Well I have this car and the ride is nowhere near of a 7 series that I had before. Mine has exact same 20" alloys like in a video with a runflats. My wifes 1 series with normal tyres has a smoother ride.

This Range Rover is more of a acquired taste, the normal Range Rover is already one of the most luxurious cars in the world it, doesn't appeal to me THAT MUCH to be honest compared to the normal Range Rover, with all that wood, I never understood why people think wood is something good in a car. I'm more of an archer than a gun person too.

45mpg is impressive for an engine that puts out 240bhp and 400ftlb of torque

So that BMW is actually a lower X6? BMW got to cleanup their linup, they are just creating "niches" with those cars.

@taknachwile that's what I thought until I had one for a week, in white, with the options boxes all ticked, and uau! it's a really nice car, yes from the back it is not particularly beautiful, but I had seen uglyer cars than that. The front looks just nice. And this is one of the very cars that proof that you've to see it in the flesh in order to say anything about it. pictures just doesn't do this justice.

It looks like a X6 but then smaller so they can call it it a gran turismo. Imagine driving around whole Europe in this car in the back seats, i mean you can almost live there! You can slep there, do your administration, sleep and mabye have your very own party in the boot.
