That's weird I've just downloaded FileZilla server and the interface looks much more primitive and clunky (especially *user* administration). As if they had regressed. Severe case of engineer design?
I like your video. When I installed Filezilla server on my regular computer I got Filezilla client to work but when I tried Filezilla client on a different computer but also on the same internal network I couldn't connect to my server computer. Any ideas why?
At the bottom right of the Server window, there is a number. Is this the amount of total file bytes transferred? If so, in what time period? Thanks for a great video!
You just limited the connection to localhost, but I have laso created a connection between two computers between the LAN. The first computer with 192.168.1.6 local IP and the client PC with 192.168.1.2 IP address. IT WORKED. DUDE, YOU HAVE TO EXPLAIN THE SETTINGS WHICH ALLOW ME TO ACCESS MY FTP SERVER FROM THE WAN, not just LAN or LOCALHOST.
Hii am using filezilla client on another pc in the same network but can connect to the filezilla server, could you please explain me how to do this? thanks
Thank you sooooooooooo much sir. I am very grad that I learn ftp account connect. Because i watch a lot of video but i donot understant that. Thank you best of luck.
at the ".... now I am going to try to access the FTP server.." how to open and work on the Access to FTP server? it is on the FileZilla server file, I dont know which file u open to access FTP server
You don't really. Any internet browser can access it if you type "ftp://*ip of the server*:*port number*" in the address bar. The real problem I have with this video tho is that he didn't show connecting from another pc but from localhost ... His server may not be accessible from the network at all, but localhost would still work i.e. he had proven nothing.
Not really ready, as you just made it available locally as any shared network folder would. You missed the important part where you make it available to the internet.
hi am having problems setting up a server in filezILLA I CANT ACESS IT IT WONT LET ME CONNECT FOR SOME ODD REASON CAN U HELP ME IF U GIVE ME U E MAIL I CAN SEND U A SCREEN SHOT OF IT LET ME KNOW
Hi Guys please help with one thing. It is simple and straight forward until 2.40 mins the screen pops up. Where is that screen coming from because is all I need to test my server
No I cannot see it! Your cursor moves down below the view and I cannot see how you got that window to magically appear. Please explain. Otherwise, this tutorial is useless to me.
Great video but like @XxwainexX said you went off the screen to at to pull up the next window. I don't know what you press. Like most people watching this video we're still learning and certain step that might be common isn't common till it is shown. Once again nice video but I can't get to the next step because that shortcut you use without showing the audience how to do the same step.
so if i create a website, and host the server myself.... do i need to have my computer powered up when i try to access the website from another computer? like if i need to host my own website, do i need to have the server computer running all the time? and if the computer isnt on, it wont connect to the website? im a rookie when it comes to this server stuff.....
Thanks for that, also do I need to forward any ports in the router if I'm only using FileZilla internally or open ports on pcs that requires access to server
[1] Can you have a FILEZILLA SERVER and another FTP Client (WS_FTP PRO not server) intalled on the same server? [2] So other FTP servers can push file to you but can a FZS also upload and download file to other FTP servers with a schedule?
Thanks for the useful tutorial!!! Glad to find your video!!! Anyways i am looking for cheap linux hosting provider so can you help me find out the cheapest web hosting other than redserverhost.com
