THIS FILIPINO MAN AND HIS CARABAO CAME OUT OF NOWHERE!
Working on our land by the beach in Cateel, Davao Oriental, we noticed a man quietly riding along with a Carabao. At first we just thought it was going to be a beautiful moment... but it turned into more than that! The man riding the carabao sled was actually a local known for climbing coconut trees.
He offered to help us get a job done on our land. Felt great to be able to connect with more locals, and hire him to help us clean our coconut trees.
Another beach land work day in the Philippines.

This was such a wonderful moment... we were all stunned watching Tatang and the carabao on the beach. Then, turns out he is a master at cleaning coconut trees. Awesome to be able to hire him for a job, and learn more about his craft, confidence, and skill! So much respect. Power on.

Coconut is really the tree of life. You can use every part of it for something usable. Those leaves don't throw them away, you can use them to make walis and weave baskets. Manong is so brave to climb that coconut tree without any harness or safety support. For a sec I was scared for his life!

Can use those coconut leaves for roofing if you build Payag...and make walis.😄 Not just copra, buko juice and tuba. Palwa for firewood, the body can be a coconut lumber. That's a nice piece of land you own there a beachfront and along the road. Tatang is so skillful at climbing that's when you start young climbing trees, when cellphone and gadgets were not yet introduced that's part of play we do at the province before.

Once you get there it feels like your in heaven’s garden. ITS ALL JUST PURE AWE! Been there 3 times and planning to come back there again if this pandemic gone. Re-watching this vid for the raw drone views, Kulas 🌞. And after realizing that I haven't actually seen in all my life an aerial view of a legendary mananggueti (coconut harvester) how they're actually working it up there! Ever! Always the view from the ground for me and I guess almost everyone else who grew up in the Phils 😂! Thanks, Kulas! Hopefully Manoy/Kuya Teting & team haven't burned all of the tree scraps, but composted some of them instead 🤞. There needs to be a balance of chemicals like CO2, carbon, methane, etc from all the organic scraps to revitalize the cleared out sandy soil. Doing great with Bisaya practice with the locals 👍! Also, Mama Rose's daily menu & her dinorado is LIFE 😋! Si Kumar tabang luto, si Robertson tabang kaon!

Kyle, The insect was a millipede. A centipede has jaws with venom. Most millipedes in America let off a smelly discharge to protect them from predators. They are herbivores and help break down dead vegetation, so they are good. I noticed that Kumar was cooking Jack fruit in a wok (kawah). In Jogjakarta Indonesia, this is called Gudeg. It is ok depends on how it is cooked. James

That is a smart way of preparing a young/raw jackfruit. Slice first before peeling. A lot easier than the common way, peel then slice. I learn this Mark aka Kumar. Nice one brad. 👍👍👍

that's alot, u need a big jar and ice to make some refreshing drinks, all day.. every day, it's a good rehydration for ur laborers, cleaning the field. Also, can i request for you to plant veggies, like eggplant, cuz Bret loves it and so he can make more eggplant dishes, but plant other things, like calamansi. sili, okra, and more.

When it is rainy seasons time to plant Cassava...i do love Cassava...making cassava Cake, Maruya( cassava pancake),, Suman( Steamed Cassava Wrap With Banana Leaves), Minatamais Na Kmaoteng Kahoy, Nilagang Kamoteng Kahoy,etc...etc...
