At 11:02 if at some point you want to buy something at a sari sari store and you dont see people you could loudly say "Pabili po!" (Meaning may I buy) and most of the time the seller will come out. Its pretty common(?) here for the sellers of sarisari stores to go stay in their homes while the store is open ^^

Cebu sweet mangoes been popular since the 40’s and in particular from Guadalupe Cebu City. Then it expanded all over Cebu province. So naturally even if Guimaras or other provinces earned the sweetness record but it’s been noted it’s started in Cebu. That’s how it earned its name as it originally coming from Cebu.

To help you about Philippine mangoes the first mango farm in guimaras was an experimental farm whos trees where scioned from trees from the bohol experimental station nursery in Ubay, Bohol where grown by experts from the mandaue experimental station in cebu. Most guimaras trees now from the same trees from Bohol. As experts from the mandaue station says the Philippine mangoes are very location sensitive that they bare fruit a little different from trees growing somewhere else even if they are scioned from the same tree. I grow mango trees in bohol and i find guimaras mango a little more fibrous than the cebu or bohol mangoes.

However, we really don't want to hear of anyone, especially foreigners, who get overpriced anything - because it is very shameful to hear of Filipinos doing that to anyone at all. It is best to chat with the guards or the hotel staff when planning an excursion or purchasing from the market or the street vendors. This way, you not only get reliable advise, you get safety tips, and gain new friends. Of course, don't put that on your vlogs, especially sponsored ones. This is a tip from a Filipino to all our visitors. We love you and hope you get the best out of your travels!

There must be some boggers from the UK looking at your channel and wondering why they are stock on snow and very cold weather, when they have the ability to go and enjoy the sun and paradise place like the Philippines. Bloggers, come on over, the Filipinos will help you in any way they could. They love foreigner that helps the country's tourism. They will subscribe like crazy since almost all Filipinos carry a cell phone.

Watching the vlogs of other foreigners, there's a common denominator here. As expected, Filipinos are always friendly and welcoming.

I LOVED this vlog! How you interacted with "people on the street". It shows what kind of people you are. I just felt bad that Koda didn't get the cars from that sari-sari store 😥 Maybe next time, you can shout "Tao po" from the outside so as to alert the store attendant that you're there. On another note, there are several places in the Philippines that say they have the best mangoes - Guimaras, Cebu, Zambales, etc

I really enjoyed the guitar playing segment. Reminded me of my Dad as he too plays the guitar and the mandolin. Always great to see your other talents on display.

And they say British people are a snob, total opposite, George, Lucy & Koda, are so friendly and enjoy talking to locals.

Hi Guys, although all Mangoes (its called the Carabao Mango) in the Philippines are really sweet, but the Guimaras Mango is list listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the Best. Delicious and the Sweetest in the World. But the Zambales variant was declared the sweetest mangoes in the world in 1995 by the Guinness World Records. BTW, Mango is the National Fruit of the Philippines.

I like this vloggs Lucy and George, you mingled with locals instead at BGC. Foreigners who didn't visit Philippines say that it is dangerous country to visit or stay but they made a big mistake.

The dried mangoes, candies and jellies sold in other countries are from Cebu. Cebu mangoes are famous for its delicious sweet mangoes. Whenever you see any mango products in the stores, it’s mostly from Cebu, Philippines particularly Guadalupe , Cebu.

They say Cebu has the best mangoes and you should try visiting the dried mangoes factories here in Cebu. There are a lot or you can try making a vlog about it even the well known Mhuillier is also producing and selling dried mangoes now :)
