Honestly I understand how hard and scary it would have been for Richie to admit his feelings for Eddie, but if he had told him, his arcade token would have worked bc it’s overcoming his fear of not being accepted so Eddie could have theoretically lived.

I think the only other way for Richie to overcome his fear would be to confess to Eddie, which in theory is way easier but Richie only would've realized Eddie was his token and biggest fear either if they had more time or if Eddie died. And they didn't have more time..... This whole entire two movies make SO MUCH more sense after this video-

In the end of the first movie when they almost defeated “It”, that was because they were not scared anymore, and when bill almost hits him he goes further down in the “hole” (or whatever it was) and “It”’s last words are ‘fear’ because it is the first time he feels fear. In the second movie the ritual doesn’t work for maybe the reason that “It” is bigger than ever and the ritual doesn’t work when he’s that big. When they defeat “It” they’re not just saying mean things, they are showing “It” that they are not scared of him. “Your just a clown” is what they say to him to show that he’s just a clown and nothing scary. Btw I did not watch the whole video but this is my view of the movie

Her dad wanted her to stay young and innocent and actually abused her over the fact that she had the postcard, so much so that she had to hide and it was still left in that hiding spot when she went to collect it.

I have a theory, in the ritual of chud they all were meant to give items that represented things that meant the most to them eddies inhaler represented his fear of his wellbeing being compromised, geogies boat represented his guilt from his brothers death etc...However richies item was a arcade token which sure he wen't to the arcade alot but it wasnt truly the thing that represented his struggle, I mean it could be argued that it was due to the memory of the arcade where he was made fun of and called a slur, but his true fear of his sexuality started with his love for eddie before the arcade scene and before any of it so after eddie died, it made up for missing item because eddie was his token, so after pennywise killed him, they simply won

This is actually great, and reminds me of Gravity Falls. The comparison of getting over fears and getting over ego is really interesting to me. The characters in Gravity Falls all sacrifice themselves to help each other, which is what eventually brings Bill down, and finally getting over their trauma, enough to fully move on and to not sulk and regret over their past, to be on the aggressive against Pennywise instead of running from him, is his downfall. It's symbolized by Eddie's sacrifice, his final actions to realize what had to be done and attack Pennywise to get over his fear. It's unfortunate that he was one of the tokens, but it was the only way that Pennywise could actually be defeated. Similar to Bill being erased along with the rest of Stan's mind. I'm not sure why I thought this, considering the themes aren't even the same, but the sacrifice really makes you think about the similarities.
