Ok, let's be honest. When I started this episode, I planned it as an April Fool's joke for the channel. But after researching it, it turned out that the theory of a sharknado is BIZARRELY plausible. With Sharknado 4 coming out this summer, we should all be prepared in case of a REAL shark storm!

We actually learned why "raining cats and dogs" is a thing in my English class. It wasn't originally a metaphor, cats and dogs *would* fall through the roof, but that was because they were on top of the house and the rain made the thatch weaker.

"Raining cats and dogs" comes from a time when barns were always roofed with thatch. In cold weather, the farm cats and dogs were known to climb up into the thatching to keep warm. However, in particularly strong rain, the thatching would get damp and slippery, often causing the animals to lose their footing and fall out.

"It's raining cats and dogs" came from medieval England, when there were so many strays and the streets were so clogged with muck (and literal shit) and would easily flood in the most disgusting way when there was heavy rain. Lots of cats and dogs would die in the conditions and when people left the house, it would look like they'd all fallen from the sky when it had rained and had died when they hit the ground. .. So many phrases like this come from downright morbid stuff XD

just found this video now, and ive been watching all your channels for quite a bit, around a year or so. this was my favorite movie when i was five, and now i want this to actually happen. because sharks are normally passive agressive to humans, i think people living in LA would survive. i just need the news story: *'SHARKNADO' predicts the future!? cases of raining sharks all across LA and other parts of california. scientists still have no idea how, but are studying a video from 2016 that said this might happen!*

When I was little it was on the tv for some reason and my mom was watching one of them I don’t know which one, but I remember this V I V I D L Y. A guy wanted a picture of the shark behind him and the shark bit his head off, I was terrified. Now I just laugh, but then, being like, 6 years old, I was terrified. That’s all I can remember.
