After weeks of hoard work we finally have this place empty! A truck load of goods to support the homeless in our home town, some treasures to cover the expense... and closure as we finish another clear out.
I have a British Airlines bag like that. I’ve had it almost 50 years. I watched the whole CORNER GAS series! I loved it! My favorite tv is Canadian and UK.
What an interesting man he must have been!! Those glasses could sell for 240canadian dollars according to one site as I'm sure you'll know by now😊 Thanks again Alexander and Melissa (and mum😀)💜
The smoke from those fires were causing a haze in the sky here in New Jersey! The vent hood would have had one or two changeable filters in it. Range hoods like that recycle the air.
I feel you with the forest fires. I live in Sonoma County, Northern California, USA and we've had fires nearly every year since 2017, some years more than one. Wear your mask and keep your Go-bags ready. My thoughts are with you.
You’re a very good person. I think you go above and beyond for others. I loved watching this series. I look forward to seeing the totals from the coin collection. I really like that painting. That place has a nice view of the street.
I had the hard chore of emptying out a house of an old friend that was in his final days and found it so hard to donate and sell the life of this friend. I admire your approach to honor the owner as much as possible.
@annvanwesten2488 - Way back when, before I first assisted in organizing and holding estate sales, I had the mindset of “this is what’s left of this man’s entire life. It’s so sad that we are cleaning, organizing and selling his life.” As the years passed and with many estate sales under my belt, I realized that I had the wrong mindset. The person who passed away had all these items during his lifetime. They meant something to him and he enjoyed them during his lifetime. They meant nothing to his heirs, and he couldn’t take them with him. All of those items could have been tossed in a dumpster and not loved and enjoyed by anyone else. The deceased would be pleased to know that the items sold at the estate sale are loved by their new owners. The items that don’t sell at the estate sale are donated to the charity of the family’s choice.
@@kristineguetschow9134 Thank you so much for your words. I have struggled with this for almost a year. I know many of the things that were bought were used to help others in need. Thanks again.
I think what's going to really differentiate your new streaming show from all the similar themed ones is your compassion. Caring about the lives of the people who have passed on, caring about their families, friends and neighbors who knew them, recycling and donating, even before any money is made on selling. You and your family have big hearts.
I always enjoy watching the clean outs that Melissa and you do. Normally they leave me feeling somewhat sad for the people who died while you go thru their things. Seems so often like lives not fulfilled. Sometimes even a bit lonely. This clean not at all! This clean out has left me feeling smiling. This man has had such a full, amazing and awesome life that most of us can only dream about. The places he's been and things he's done are wonderful. He's lived his life to the fullest. Good for him. We should take him as an example. 💗
I hope the gentleman is off to his greatest journey With wonders and adventures he couldn't imagine ! A life well lived are just some of the gifts he left behind Farewell and may your blessings follow you home .
He isn't red yet. I'm in the next province over, in BC, and last year when fires hit, a huge one got close so my daughter's home (she was on alert to evac so they had basically emptied out the house and up to the next road over was evac'd) that everything was red. She sent me pics taken in the middle of the day and everything, literally, everything was vivid red: houses, lawn, road, air etc..was deep red. It was scary.
@@hilaryc3203 I'm Australian it's when it's black that's the scariest here and hot embers are dropping from the sky. Not to mention fire tornadoes 100s metres high and atomic bomb size clouds of smoke. Pyrocumulus cloud from bushfires creates it's own weather with lightening strikes. Not fun at all. Particularly when viewed from your front door. It happened day after day in 2019 for us.
One of the things I admire most about you and Melissa is you put other peoples feelings and considerations ahead of your convenience. Making sure this woman was well taken care of was so kind and I have no doubt that’s why you guys are so successful. You deserve every bit of success you have for the kind people you are.
You and your family are just awesome with the way you all work together on these clear outs. I know you do the majority of the work. I love the fact that you actually donate so much of the furniture and clothing. You are an incredibly kind person.
Alex, you and Melissa are such quality people, your generosity to your fellow man is so heart warming and you are showing your children how to be good humans.
Alex, take a good look at the closing of this segment. Look at the way Melissa is looking at you. Love, respect and pride. It doesn't get any better than that. Fortune has shined upon you. Cherish it!
I have been waiting anxiously for this to drop today Thank you for sharing your adventures. Now to wait for you to explore Kathy Cash' barn, That's exciting.
It looks like this man led an awesome full life full of adventure . i don't know how you do it but you seem to find the most interesting places with character . Glad you are finding some treasures and things you can use as well . this was a great clear out. You Mom is so sweet . Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
All done with respect for the gentleman that lived there and consideration to the lady that inherited the property. A looooooot of work but once again with the help of your family you did it. Congratulations 🥂
Outstanding work, Alex. You and Melissa (and your family) have done a great job. On to the next! 😀 My very best wishes to everyone in the wildfire hot zones. Please stay safe. ♥ PS. Hello to Patrick. Will we see him again any time soon? 🙂
You do heavy/hard work quickly, and always finding joy in it. I know it must get to you at times, but we wouldn't know it... 😊 God bless, and congratulations on your new upcoming adventures! ❤
Alex, you and your family are simply the best! You going above and beyond to help the woman with the cleaning of the condo…bravo to all of you!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Another great adventure completed. I can't wait for the next one to begin. The man that lived in that condo seemed to have lived an interesting and fulfilled life, kudos to him. 🤠👍
I very much appreciate all the work you do to keep things out of the landfill, all you recycle, all you donate to various charities, but most of all how much you've donated to the displaced Ukranian refugees. You guys are examples of how people should take care of other humans. Keep up the fine work! Much love from Texas!❤
I've been wondering how close the fires were. My family experienced fires in Florida: a scary experience, to say the least. Praying the firefighters get them under control and it doesn't come any closer to you. 🙏🙏
Alex thoroughly enjoying this clear out one of the most interesting to me.good look for future. Your amazing family. Love how mellisa supports you so mutch. Regards. Michael uk care home resident
You have such a good heart, Alex. You are blessed with a beautiful wife and family. I love watching your channel. Keep em coming! ❤ PS gotta watch out for the white hair brigade 👀
From the time I first started watching Curiosity Inc….when Alex and family were in a different financial position, they helped people. It’s part of their inner core. Alex and family, bless you for always doing the right thing.
Alex and Melissa, Seeing your children dealing with the bed brought tears to my eyes. In the first Curiosity, Inc. Video that I watched, the kids were so little. It has been wonderful to watch your family and grow. I look forward to many more adventures with the family and friends you share with your youtube family. Thanks, Alex. 😊😊😊
Find is an awesome charity who give first pick of the items to people who need them the most for free before they sell anything to the public unlike other charities who sell the stuff to people who can afford them. I donated a lot of my parents stuff to Find because of how the do things.
As I'm watching this, the same thing is happening at my apt complex. My neighbor passed, family didn't want to bother. Hired trash men to just trash it all. So sad. 😢
The kind way you treated this man's belongings was like a wonderful eulogy! He is remembered by so many now. I might sell the Jimmy Buffett Hawaiian shirt with the ticket. Wow, great things stuffed everywhere ...hope you checked under the coach cushions??? Great donations and very kind of you.
I can think of no one kinder and more respectful to handle people's belongings at the end of their lives. And as well as helping you and your family you make sure to help your community. Always a treat to watch your videos.
Hopefully the fire's will continue to be diminished and eventually be totally out soon. This clean out was very interesting with the variety of things he enjoyed. Again another good hearted series as you helped someones family. You and your family are blessings blessed.
Great job! Thank you for giving this man's life the respect he deserved and thank you for giving thanks to Melissa for all her hard work too. Love watching you guys!!❤
Another astounding job done, Alexander. Wonderful Melissa and kids pitching in as well. o touching to see the gentleman on the sailboat at sea. Lovely metaphor for an adventurous life well lived.
I thought of you when I heard about the fires. Fingers crossed you are all missed by them. LOL those ladies' guilty consciences hit them... I wouldn't worry too much about the cleaning, it will be gutted no doubt and at minimum the carpet will be pulled up and the walls repainted.
I was driving, and unfortunately it was bird mating season and 2 cardinals were fighting and flew into my windshield and died. 🤭😔 I picked them up so they wouldn't get run over a thousand times
Fires are scary. I've been watching because I'm headed across Canada this summer, back to the east coast. So sad to see the devastation. Hope you and your property are safe.
I would have loved the folding dvd cabinet, I have been looking for one like it for ages, but sadly there’s an ocean between! Always interesting, watching your videos.
The clean outs are my favorite! But I would have ended up looking like a hoarder after doing this one, so many things i would have wanted to take home. Your respect for the former resident was so touching, I'm sure he was a lovely person. Thank you so much for that.
