This is the first time in my life that I've ever heard someone produce a desirable sound from one of those little white recorders they used to give us back in school.
This channel is really good at showing off just how wonderful recorder-sounds can be. It just needs to be played by trained musicians to sound good, as opposed to children just starting out (as is true of any instrument).
@@folkie099 Well, I just checked two videos with Lucie Horsch, and yeah. She's really impressive. She's also that kind of musicians who almost gets in a trance with the music. :p
I've listened to A LOT of VG music covers and this is the first time i've been compelled to leave a comment. Fuck this dude is amazing! Seriously though...what CAN'T you play?
No power has been lost with this cover. That is a very hard thing to produce. Especially the crescendo, perfect. Perfect choice for drums, needed to be strong, and you made it strong
It didn't 😂 it was ok but lost a lot of the traditional feel of the original composition. It's funny because the music to the Gongaga region uses some good traditional instruments.
@@ens0246 square should've gave in and made some calls and ask for tracks like these, the one in the games lost their vibes. This here is perfect and modernized properly imo.
Wow, spot on like always dude. The use of recorder actually gives the Cosmo Canyon part of the song a nice, Celtic feel to it. Great job of bringing Nobuo Uematsu's compositions to life with real instruments. I'm shocked Uematsu-san himself hasn't commented on this arrangement. Because I feel it's worthy of it.
I actually cried when I heard the wind instrument join into the song. This was how I heard it in my memories, and it's so beautiful to hear it in real life again. You have brought me to tears with the beauty of your work, thank you.
used to sit in cosmo canyon for hours just because i loved this track...you captured it perfectly and reminded me of that feeling all those years ago, while making it your own! one of my fave channels; keep up the awesome work! :'>
Me too. I just let it repeat over and over. Native Indian and tribal music. Im studying the dizi flute as of now. It's more organic and natural made melody than Western mechanical flute.
Cosmo Canyon's music is in my top 3 tracks from this soundtrack. I remember keeping a save file here that I would load just to listen to this song when I wss doing my homework back in the day before finally getting my hands on the ost on CD. This is the only cover of this song that I've found that actually does it justice! Excellent work.
"Thank you for coming in today. I understand you are interested in the Music Director position. Tell me, do you play any kind of instrument?" Andrew: "Yes. Absolutely any kind of instrument."
Thank you for all the work you put in. You’ve been told this a lot already but your renditions are absolutely perfect. Such faithful renditions are really hard to come by. Amazing job. Also thanks to Orange for the video editing.
AMAZING! I am so impressed with your talent! How on earth don’t you have at least half a million subscribers???? Your channel is definitely going to blow up!
Well done! This is nothing short of perfection when it comes to adapting the sound midi into real instruments. Thank you for producing such wonderful content! This really needs to be used for the FF VII Remake when they make it to the Cosmo Canyon story arc.
Absolutely beautiful. A perfect cover of two great themes. The transitions were fantastic, marvellous editing. I don't see myself running out of praises for your work. ^^
andrew i swear to god your covers are the most incredible things I've ever heard, each one of them are pitch perfect renditions of the originals that capture the style so accurately, it's amazing you can listen to a little box do funny sounds and understand their essentials to make the compositions shine as bright as they do in your covers. i really mean it when i say i hope i am able to listen to your music in a large production someday
Masterfully done. This song has such a nice dramatic swell. Great work as always! If I may drop a request here, I hope that you will cover "Delicate Affection" from Seiken Densetsu 3 at some point in the future.
I went to an art school for music and wish I was half as good as you! My favorite melody from ff7. Dared to search ff7 cosmo canyon cover and this was the first that came up. Keep it up dude, seriously love it!
My second favourite track from 7. Great job man! For any who are wondering, "listen to the cries of the planet" is my favourite, I dont know why. I also think the name of that song has changed slightly.
I remember my friend and I were drumming to this song on our computer desks one night with chopsticks and anything else we could find, while playing FF7 back in the day. His parents went crazy at us, but It is just too gud.
