@@aarongarcia4381 that's because their friendship was never fully explored in the OG since the remake gave additional scenes of them too. But hey, that's just how I think
Am I the only one who enjoyed the fuck out of this battle theme?! Its mad hype but chill at the same time. I never thought I'd bop to something so relaxing.😅
I keep replaying it... It sort of gives me the impression that maybe this boss isn't as bad as it seems. Because Aerith thought the ghosts aren't actually evil, they could just be sad or lonely. Maybe this boss is the same. That's what this theme makes me think lol
Yep. Absolutely love it. And i love re-watching this cutscene with the cinematography that introduces Eligor just before the battle starts, and the way the music adds to that sense of intensity and apprehension
Well unlike the following boss, Reno and Rude, you legit cant feel any form of sympathy for this ghost prick. He feeds on people's sorrow and tries to kill you emotionaly, of course it felt good to destroy him!
This Boss was originally a "Random Encounter Enemy" in the original. Makes me wonder how they will handle the Midgar Zoom or Snow Boss battles in Part 2, but also exciting to anticipate.
3:59 Wow Look at how Aerith's face turns into being serious and decisive toward this battle shortly after she experienced what Eligor has done to numerous children by herself and realized how malicious he is. It made aerith look much more lovely than ever before how sacrificial she is for humanity just like she was in original ff7. And see how well this transition of background music is matched to her right then.
I loathe this boss. Not because it keeps flying away from me. Not because my weapons kept bouncing off its wheels. No. I hate this boss because it made Aerith cry.
I can't be the only one who thought Eligor was Odin and I was getting a Summon materia after this boss fight. I forgot Eligor was even in the original Train Graveyard because of how rare his encounter was.
Same. I always remember camping to fight him in FF7 so I could get the staff. Fitting that they made it stealable from him and gave the scene some relevance to Aerith's story.
@@Bargadiel completely forgot about the staff the first time I fought him.... always feel so pressured to either attack or heal. Didnt find many ideal turns to steal in this game especially since the steal rate sucks so bad - and especially in a crazy boss fight. Gonna do chapter select to go back and get it.
sh*t tried this for how many times and finally beat that boss.... fighting aside its sad to see Aerith’s fear of not being found....looking at her childhood but atleast she conquered that ;)
And because Fate in general bases powers on myths, they can talk about Sephiroth popularity year after year since 1997 simply because he is mythical at this point as THE JRPG boss with panache and a presence.
@Águila701 you mean the arsenal? That was a mini boss and it had 3 phases in the elevator which was the boss cloud, tifa, and barret fought on the rooftops.
Music sounds like Challenge from FFX... plus sure another track in it sounds like Song of the Fayth, and those things looke like pyreflies everywhere? Hmm...
Well did you expect red wireframes again? Cause NGL, that’d be very hard to pull off for the remakes tone & presentation. Didnt get Challenge nor SotF vibes either.
The first two phases of this boss was easy. Cast arcane ward with Aerith and pummel him with blizzara. I have over 200 magic power with Aerith. Major damage. The third phase however is cheap with this boss. You have to hit the wheels when he stops but when he does it's only for a few seconds and he does some devastating damage in the final phase too.
at the end of the fight when eligor almost die i realised he have stealable weapon for aerith, then i tried to use steal(equip to tifa) but i cant. Got frustrated bcs the boss almost die and i cant steal it that i just exit the game and took a rest lol
This had me in tears. We see a vulnerable side of Aerith and right before she’s run over her new friends save her. I mean I can relate I was always left out or alone when I was young. Also REMAKE DID BETTER THAN REBIRTH FOR BOSSES….so many things Airbuster Reno The scorpion was redone great However ummmm HELL HOUSE IT SHOCKED SO MANY PEOPLE fuuuck that boss is hard with two people at that Eli Igor was a surprise The Valkyrie was changed from an elevator fight to the Shinra HQ OPENING as the guardian The Shinra exp 13 The JENOVA battle which was insane Also the Whipsers of fate shit That piano breakdown in the song was sexy AF and Sephiroth with my girls with me was dope. Can’t wait for Cid and Vincent gameplay Cid is gonna be easily a PHYS spa and crit maniac springing up in the air and crashing down from the heavens Jump is his triangle but man Vincent they could do so many cool things like have his combo be some mid range gun shots while switching the type of gun and having that red cape like attack the enemy having him appear and reappear which he can do…he did it in AC I dunno We have BARRET but Vincent uses a peacemaker lol Also we have no clue when they will join The 2nd chapter is Northern Crater and many think Vincent will join not Cid Which is likely Vincent has to do with this section in a way the OG game never captilized on because optional.
i find it to have a really high percentage to steal the bladed staff in this fight when he's staggered. tried it three times from a save and i always steal it whenever the boss is down.
Buddy, you spent like half the fight with everyone's ATB's being maxed out 😅. & why aren't you using Aerith to cast the more powerful magic vs Cloud who has a weaker Magic stat? Also no Arcane Ward? C'mon man, you can do better than this.
Am I the only who thinks this boss is the most irritating to fight and not because of the fight itself,it’s because if you use the steal materia on the boss you get aerith’s bladed staff
Annoying to fight on hard mode. He casts reflect on your party. All buffs cast on your party are given to him instead. So for example if you were to use cure, you’ll heal the boss. If you use haste, it’ll give the boss haste. The only way to remove it is to dispel or let your characters die and revive them. I gave him manawall on accident and let’s just say that was not an enjoyable experience.
You're the one who.... what? 😅 Seriously, what is it w Japanese dialogue ALWAYS ending sentences before they're even finished? Every Japanese developed RPG I play does this. It is so damn strange & infuriating! Ppl do not talk like that.
Too much emphasis was placed in the train yard. 2 boss battles when the original didn’t have one is ridiculous to me and unnecessary. It made me at times just put the game down smh especially when it’s unsuspecting smh
