Hey class 0, it's me again. It's been 5 years... I was scared to watch this because the first time I saw the ending, I was crying so hard. It was difficult, at least for me as a play who had grown to love you and fought the war along side you. Class 0 still lives inside my mind until this day. I still remember.
I got u there, i bought the game after playing the intro on my frenz console, the song at the opening already give me the cry vibe then when reach the ending it was aint no turning back now for the tears... 😅
@@koolkidsklub6476Like jesus christ.... Damn. By the way who takes care of about if someone is or not "virgin"? Isn't like that thing exists truly -_-
The thing Machina and Rem see is heartbreaking in its own right, but don't forget it is the first time anyone in this world sees a corpse while knowing who it is So they're clearly not prepared for such a grief and it must also be the scariest thing they will ever see
kortezfitness I loved all of them, but I gotta go with Ace because the bond he had with Izana, and after reading the manga, it just made me love him even more. Who was your favorite?
In a sense, this game ending is the real "Final Fantasy". The cycle stopped, they're freed from this "fantasy" of endless death and rebirth. Still and alway my most favorite FF game 🤧🤧
I will agree this is a very sad ending, but in its own way, its a type of sad that becomes...peace at some point, they didnt die in despair, they died hoping and dreaming of a new world, the one they fought hard to bring, that itself, to me, make this ending all the more worthy
+thebeatoftheangels you got it!! no matter how painful it's, but in the end they finally free from the eternal conflict. and beside their final wish already be granted. "To be remembered"
When Ace starts singing, and they stopped crying and to suffer, and talking about their future, I thought everything was going to be ok... but then I had the same reaction as Rem I wasn't expecting to see them dead
Underrated game with one of the best endings ever. There is no cheering around after war, and pretending that nothing bad ever happens in life, like so many other games..."oh last boss is dead? Now we can finally celebrate and have a nice bbq" This sad ending with the most epic song really shows the truth of war...its filled with sadness and fear. God damn the first lines and the last ones, when aces´card dissapears, really gives me goose bumps
no, "ALL" protagonists except one(rem) is died..... i never counted machina as protagonist, just an asshole, i hoped they switched his place with izana :3
I totally get what u mean... I think I've watched this at least 10x, but it never gets old and never fails to make me sad. Especially when i just read the subtitles to this song...( i _ i )
+codyz93 I dunno. I feel realized. Class Zero's purpose was to break Orience's endless cycle and to do that they had to sacrifice themselves. They didn't have a place in the world, so it makes sense that they die after fulfilling their purpose.
Untrue, the game creators said that the sad heroic ending is the true ending and the alternate ending is a what if scenario if the crystals never existed and there wasn't any gods with the goal to open Etro gate (Etro gate is the equivalent of the celestial paradise in the final fantasy Fabula Nova Crytallis tales) and war didn't exist.
The moment when Cinque close her eyes, then the song, the endings with a version of FF's main theme and to end it all Machina and Rem crying over with their friends corpses who peacefully died as a family and to end it all the "flag" and Machina's final words showing that they still remember the Class 0 Come on, This moment is perfect, one of the best scenes in the franchise, even if you don't like the game you'll at least cry a little
yeah i know but i still don`t understand exactly how they died is it because when they adsorbed the phantoma from that god it had a bad effect on their body ?????? or what
@@phoenixedits8960 I always understood that it was because of the battle itself, they didn't stand a chance against Cid, but the l'Cie powers made them strong enough to fight him, after that they lost those powers so it was basically a human body with the pain of battling a demigod
@@erickjr9 thx for explaining btw if your interested their is a manga called Final Fantasy Type-0 Side Story: The Ice Reaper and its story is about the past of Kurasame Susaya the commander of class zero but if you are gonna read it better first to prepare your heart mangakakalot.com/manga/dl917524
@@phoenixedits8960 My guess is that Rursan Arbiter (final boss) have the same capability as those Rursus that their physical attack can directly damage phantoma.
When I finished this game the first time, I cried real bad, like a baby. (Especially the ending parts, the flashback in Ace's dream, then reality, Cinque's burst crying, and the part just before the end credits when Cinque said 'I'm not alone after all'.) I really bonded with all the characters in class zero. But in my first playthrough, there were some parts of the story that I couldn't understand. But after playing more and reading, I began to understand and it was very well written. One of the my favorite of all time games in the Final Fantasy series. Just give me chills.
To be honest, throughout the entire story I never got the feeling that they are all connected and buddy-buddy with each other. Sice always being stand-off and such, they were all just in it as soldiers and workmates. This is the only time they acted as a family, actual siblings, that cuddled each other. That, for me, gave me such an impact, like "finally! I was waiting for this!" It was such a good build-up and payoff for me. They all sat on the ground around Cinque and cried together, it's so sweet. :'D Their corpse monument is the best fucking ever though, I would commission someome to make a statue of that if I had the funds, seriously. All of them holding hands, the flag made up of their weapons and capes, and the bruised and wary bodies with calmness in their faces, it's so dramatic.
+TrueKingOmega Yeah I think you're right, but I was specifically talking about the theme song Zero by Bump of Chicken. In the album version, the part I referred to sounds different. I just thought it's really neat how they put the FF theme in the song for this ending version XD
+MegaFFun I was going back and forth in the album version to prove my hearing is not lie, but I can't find the "hidden" FF Ending theme. And now I realize it's only exist in this version :)
They broke an everlasting cycle, giving rise to a better world. Even though they would not see it, this new world would remember them. They are the first that can be remembered at all. If this is not a bittersweet success, then I don't know.
@@Chris_S. It's still all fucked up, arecia finished her experiment, but the whole doomsday plot isn't said to be finished, there wasn't only arecia doing this shit..
Yeah, this ending is pretty sad but it's the best one. Class Zero was created by Al-Raisha with the purpose of breaking Orience's cycle of destruction and rebirth, so the world could break free from the spiral and mankind could prosper. Remember that Class Zero can use magic without the Crystal and absorb Phantoma, so in a sense they're abominations with way too much power to be left unchecked. It makes sense that their purpose could be fulfilled and their mission completed only by sacrificing themselves. Even with such a sad scene, it's an awesome ending that shows their selflessness and their hope for the future and what could've been if they could live in the world they saved. But they knew they didn't belong, so they departed in peace, knowing their job was done.
+MBOmnis that was not their purpose that was what happened though lol. their purpose was to become powerful enough to become agito the being that would help alrcia (secretly the fal,cie called diva) find Etros gate every cycle the cadets failed to become agito by taking the option of becoming l'cie and Gala (the other secret Fal' cie) would summon the rusurs (think that was their names) and initiate the tempus finis and wipe out the world hoping that the high amounts of deaths would burst open Etros gate very similar to orphas plan in ff 13 when he failed the cycle would restart all over again. in the events of the game tiz and joker (alracias imortal servants who where made immortal after the first cycle failed) inform her that class zero sacrificed themselves for the world this touches alracia who goes to machina and rems crystal for a second opinion and thus decides to remove the crystals and restore the world and allow people to have their memories of the dead and call the experiment quits
+ChaosCloud96 I wont lie you have to really delve deep into the games lore and piece things together from the library, NPC's and decipher the cutscenes
Etrostormborn12 Judging from his comment I'm definitely sure that he didn't play the game because it was clearly explained and hinted in some of those cutscenes and characters biography through Annals of Orience.
@@ChaosCloud96 alrcia is not diva in any way, diva's task is observing the spyral from outside, she does not appear in Orience at any point, and the archives talk about the 3 fal'cie
What made this painful(well, for me it was and will always be) was not just the fact that their deaths were inevitable, but the fact that they were still able to think about a better future for themselves, something they know they wouldn't have. And add up the fact that the monument they made for themselves is made of their weapons and the flag is made of their capes, making it all the more tearjerking.
one of my most favorite heroic master piece ending of a video game, with class zero placing their weapon in a way to form a pole and placing their red capes on the pole in a way to form a flag with the empty curved hole spaces who seems to form in a manner Orience continent emblem and placing themselves around the flag holding each other hands before dying all these elements to make a monument and show how much they loved Orience and wanted to protected all and was shown has a sign to Machina to unite Orience.
@@riovaldes5939 No, no, they're all grievously injured by the end of the game. They were already dying, in that scene in the classroom, and they all knew it. Making that flag and arranging themselves was their last act.
I hate how this ending always brings me to tears. Despite a lackluster story, I've bonded so much with these characters just by playing as them. To see their lives end just...breaks my heart.
FFII, Crisis Core, and Type-0 are all onions! And screw you Square Enix, you just had to make the one who happens to resemble Aerith cry the hardest about being afraid to die. You did that on purpose!
+Amber XV Did you see the secret ending ?The one with phoenix flame could be him they look exactly alike. If there is a sequel i have confidence Ace's gonna back.
TABATA ALWAYS DOES THIS SHIT!!! Killing the character you played as gives the more heart breaking feeling *SOBBING* ZACK, THESE 12, I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN WHEN I PLAYED XV!
How 2 be tabata: kill all the protagonists, quit the company after u direct an extremely subpar game which leads to cancelling all but one of the remaining dlc.
For their entire life they were forced to forget those who died, who passed, who were gone. They didn’t know why or how or who they fight for, they were just following orders, do what they were told. But they finally decided to disobey orders to do what they believe is right, turn their back on everything they know to do what they believe is right. They died fighting for what they believe, and they…won’t be forgotten.
Me: Zack death is the saddest character death in final fantasy Square: hold my sake..... Ok never mind, we cannot make something sadder. Me: See?- Square: But we can make something as sad, and multiply it by twelve. Me:.....wait what?
Just imagine if when someone died in real life, we really did forget all memories of them. It would make someone's passing less sad, but then again, it would be sad that they'd be forgotten.
Just finished this game yesterday, I am crying, the game is so good and their sacrifice aren't wasted.. Machina and Rem though. Rem is probably the only member of class 0 alive and will pass the history
no matter what how many times i see this ending, still makes me cry, for me its my favorite game of all, based on the story, its so epic and so sad at the same time
I agree with you there, most would go for FF7 or FF6, but I love Type-0 the most! The emotions that crawl into your heart from this games is very well done.
I thought I was going to have to hold back the tears but after finishing the game I'm actually happy for Class Zero: They saved the world and died as heroes. The only loser from my perspective is Machina (I don't hate him though, I just think he was a fool), who turned against his friends and killed the girl he loved instead of being there to help everyone.
Well Machina's is representing "fear" traits that is why his acting like that. He was deceived for thinking Class Zero is the reason for the death of his brother that is why he chose to become their enemy l'cie when he had the chance to become strong to protect Rem and avenge his brothers death but in the end he got manipulated by Gala.
the wind blowing showing the banner made of their capes tied together to their weapons while ace's cad turn to dust is so beautiful that gives me the biggest of chills
Despite the fact that the characters were all so one-dimensional that I never felt any attachment to them while playing, this scene alone actually managed to tug at the heartstrings quite a bit.
Games which make me cry: Final Fantasy Type-0 Ni No Kuni Metal Gear Solid 1 Metal Gear Solid 3 Metal Gear Solid 4 Japanese people really know how to tell stories..
i see this so manny times..and never bored, it really the saddest ending ever.. really it makes me cry inside.. 😢😢😢 .. and the songs omg this is really sweet sad.. 😭😭😭
"There are so many stories where a brave hero decided to give their life to save the day. And because of their sacrifice, the good guys win. The survivors cheers and everybody lives happily ever after. But the hero never get to see that ending. They will never know if their sacrifice actually made a difference. They will never know if the day was trully saved. In the end, they just have to have faith. Ain't that a bitch." -Epsilon
I haven't played Type-Zero in a hot minute, but I still remember this ending crystal clear. I played it to the point I got every character to level 99 and I grew to love everybody. I even quote Aces part of Bump Of Chicken-Zero because its oddly bittersweet but also comforting a bit. Rarely has a game made me actually cry, they all looked so happy talking about the future, than Machina and Rem walk in and all of them are dead, all of them holding hands. At least they all died together and weren't alone
It's a very sad ending no matter how many times I watch it. Whats more sad about it is that the one who betrayed them many times machina lived peacefully while the rest of class 0 who fought for the world died😥
@@seap556 I think the reason why he didn't mention the other characters is because Hajime Tabata directed Crisis Core and Final Fantasy XV along with FF Type-0.
@@GothicPunk007 XV wasn't really Tabata's vision, though. It seems like a Hobbit situation where Peter Jackson just had to work with what the previous director left him. Honestly, I think if Tabata worked on XV from the beginning, then it would have turned out a lot better.
Machina is the true victim in all of this. I'd read the novel set right before this game to find out why he is the true and only hero/protagonist. In the experiment set before the game, Rem became judgement and started killing everyone. Everyone used their bodies to shield Machina and Queen died in machina's arms. They all gave their phantoma to Machina and told him to save Rem. Machina was forced to kill her and Rem thanked him for it. In the arena surrounded by all his dead classmates, he cried and then Arecia appeared, blaming him for the whole thing. You see, Machina in that cycle never blamed Class zero for his brother's death. He instead responded that he understands that this is war and his brother died doing his mission. Machina befriends everyone in the class and taught them about human things like having dreams [King dreamt of being a cop. Sice wanted to open an orphanage, Ace wanted to be a teacher etc] and Arecia said due to him giving them humanely desires he weakened class zero from becoming the agito. Machina begged her with tears in his eyes to make things right, to turn things back no matter the cost. Arecia did it and wanted to make sure THIS time for this cycle/experiment that Machina would not interfere. So, she made Rem sick with a deadly disease and naturally, Machina carried onto the next cycle with the same fear of losing everyone without knowing why.
It was confirmed in post game material released afterwards that years after this happened, as Machina was dying the first people he saw moments before his death wasn’t his brother...it was Class Zero with Ace extending his hand to Machina to welcome him back home.
THAT FEELING IN 15:02 ! COOL FF MAIN THEME PLAYED IN ELECTRIC GUITAR ! I wonder where can i download this song with FF themed included because original version have no FF theme included..
How come Machina gets all the glory? He was a prick. This is a great ending but I think it would have been more effective if Machina and Rem had remained dead. It would be the Hamlet of game endings.
+Wannabe_Baby Joker and Tiz covinced Arecia that is the reason why she freed Machina and Rem from their crystal statis then to help Class Zero for defeating The Rursan Arbiter.
@15:03 I listened to the original version, like the album version, so I though I hallucinated hearing “Final Fantasy’s Theme” in their song. I am happy to say…”I KNEW IT!”
OMG I just finished the game and I'm rinsing my eyes with salt water! It's so sad! My heart hurts sooooo much. So unfair, I can't stop crying. Such a good game, I loved it!!
And guess what, the character who betrayed us and the character who we thought it was going to die from the beginning of the game, was actually the ones who lived in the end... PLOT TWIST!!!
This ending was very sad, But after the alternate ending makes me even sadder, Cuz class 0 wish for a normal school life could only happen in their dream.
