It seems that players does not have Kamura Wand finding it hard to beat the stage, so I did this fight with Matt. I could have used better Costume to boost stats but I thought I would use as little special content as possible to make the fight more relatable to most players.
Matt and Barret are using their basic costume. Changing better costumes significantly make the fight easier.
For Matt I'm using Prime Number for heal, Core Defender to boost MDEF. Stats wise, materia to boost Heal stats, bring X and circle sigil. Sub weapon to boost buff/debuff extension. Core Defender's MDEF boost is very short, so make sure you time your cast properly. Limit break for Matt is not important. Choose anything you like.
For Barret, it's Electrocannon and Sharkslayer. I wouldn't change them for anything else. Sub weapon I used 2 guild weapon to boost MDEF for the whole party, and 4 point shuriken to boost HP and Buff/Debuff extension. Use Mindblower for Limit Break. Main idea for Barret is to survive.
Tifa is the DPS. I build her up as fire DPS and carry Bunny Gloves for Water DPS as well. Sub weapon wise, boost fire potency. Bring Ifrit.
At the start of battle, lock on to Ramuh. Do not cast Energization or Amulet Tribute until your ATB is almost full so that you don't waste your buff and debuff timing. Tifa just keep attacking Ramuh with Aqua Splash.
After Matt casted Amulet Tribute twice, hold ATB while Barret continue to use Energization as many times as possible.
After the first Thunder Blizzard, heal with Matt twice, then recast Amulet Tribute. Barret and Tifa continues with Energization and Aqua Splash.
After the second Thunder Blizzard, switch target to Shiva and immediately use Dorsal Fin shot with Barret to lower Shiva's Fire resistence. Use Tifa's Spinning Fervor to lower Shiva's Ice Age bar until Ifrit and mindblower is ready. Cast mindblower and then Ifrit. Meanwhile, Matt MUST cast Amulet Tribute at least twice or your Barret is likely to die.
After that is basically player instinct. Bottom line is you should focus more of your attack of Ramuh because you have Fire Arcanum so Shiva will easily die as you cast Ifrit a few times. Leviathan is optional, as you can deplete Ramuh's gauge with non water attack as well. Make sure you have MDEF UP as much as possible and you should be able to survive most of the attacks. When both Shiva and Ramuh are having power gauge, deplete Shiva's gauge to at least half then work on Ramuh. Make sure you put more focus on Ramuh. Only kill off Shiva when Ramuh is almost dead.
