Aerith solo vs Demon Gate Hard No Damage No Limit
Weapon level is 8 and party level is 9 equipment is shown afterwards. Swiftcast lvl 3 (70%) is used and I used Guard Stick as Demon Gate does not have any elemental weaknesses my weapon level is not maxed and Guard Stick comes with respectable Mag and 2 Elemental Damage+ on a single element. All other weapons do not have that and Ceremonial Staff is missing 2 Materia at this level.
Demon gate only uses physical attack if you are close to him. Otherwise he uses his ranged attack so we play this fight like a FFXIV BLM trying to have 100% leyline uptime.
Phase 1 does not have much variance. Start the battle with immediate ATB Boost into Radiant Ward into Tempest. Dodge then Transcendence into Tempest. Combo a little before Perfect guarding Petrifeye. Perfect Guarding Inexorable Orb gives a good amount of ATB. When he uses encroach combo into another Tempest for ATB and Aerora to pressure. Charging Tempest ignores the draw-in from Beckoning. Using Aeroga after dodging cave-in and make sure Transcendence is level 2 before activating. With Inexorable Orb PG then Aeroga.
Phase 2 is a little dicey. You want to stay at the front of you ward as again getting to close to Gate B will cause him to use a physical attack which is hard to dodge if you are not facing him. Also KO'd Party members still have collision which can mess with dodging.
Wait until Demon Gate B starts using encroach. If Gate A uses Cave-in (ideal) dodge into Aeroga, If he uses Petrifeye Aeroga immediately. If you get Inexorable Orb uh reset lol.
This will leave Gate A with a little bit of health and keep him inactive while you focus Gate B. Aerora immediately to pressure, build a little ATB and then Perfect Guard Inexorable Orb into ATB Boost. Hope for Cave-in to dodge into Aeroga. Now return to Gate A and finish him with a regular combo. Hit Gate B with Aerora/ga and then finish him as well.
