Final Fantasy 7 Remake Sephiroth Final Boss fight
This is my 1st attempt at the game, played on Normal difficulty settings.

The world has fallen under the control of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation controlling the planet's very life force as mako energy. In the sprawling city of Midgar, an anti-Shinra organization calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their resistance. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra's elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the group, unaware of the epic consequences that await him. A spectacular reimagining of one of the most visionary games ever, the first game in this project will be set in the eclectic city of Midgar and presents a fully standalone gaming experience.

All they talk about Sephiroth, but nobody noticed that zack in his timeline did not die for the soldiers as in the original 0.0 (crisis core) where he passes the Mortal Sword to Cloud and where he cries T.T. for the death of zack, and then he comes out carrying cloud. What's going on !!!!!!!!?. I hope they don't change the story too much. -_-

in this game sephiroth blocks or evades clouds omnislash saying not yet,and this indicates he was always in controle of previous fights he just choose to lose. in this fight he has several chance to kill cloud but didnt and as he says he doesnt want cloud to die.

If you pay attention to this amazing soundtrack, theres a couple hidden things (I think) The original one winged angel ost starts out with the iconic union quarter note hits. This soundtrack however doesn’t when the actual fight begins. The iconic quarter note hits starts at around 8:20 when his wing comes out and starts playing the original soundtrack. There’s not really much singing in the first half, there’s a bit but not much. Once his wing comes out then you start hearing the estuans interius ira vehementi part. I think it really refers to the “one winged angel”. I think it’s a pretty sick detail.

I believe that's accidental because the soundtrack itself also is an 11 minutes song and naturally progresses into that pretty much around the same time stamp. Might also be planned out to be that way, and the developers kinda expected you to be so far around that time.

Hes more badass in this game because hes re writing his own destiny. He already knows he dies in the other alternate reality which was the first original game. Seeing that u fight the arbiter of fate because your trying to change destiny. Now after u defeat the gigantic whisper things balanced out. the universe can now expand and not go by the same reality which was the first game. Brilliant move by the devs. Sephiroth is trying to get Cloud to join him in this destiny. Thats why u see Zack and Cloud pass one another. ZACK is in the that current time line. Of that game u played on psp. But something different happened this time around. Aerith isnt dead

I hope that they improve the story and don't fuck it up. If the game ends exactly with Cloud defeating Sephiroth and this one saying some cliche phrase like "bUt ThAt'S iMpOsSiBlE! I cHanGeD mY fAtE!", I'll feel so dissapointed omg haha. I still have faith in this. I wanna see Vincent and Yuffie's story in this remake so... Let's wait until the story is done.

I think it's underrated how good that final exchange between cloud and sephiroth is, it shows how far clouds come, flash stepping, using feints, counters, and distractions to try and get the best of seph, he really feels like he's trying his damndest and yet sephiroth barely breaks a sweat. People say cloud is too strong and too close to his advent children strength for sephiroth to still feel intimidating, but I think this exchange alone exhibits that cloud still isn't as strong as sephiroth

You can and can't. You never have full control. You switch between characters in order to do it. It's kinda like how sports games work. It feels like you're just watching the other characters play. The problem with what many people have is that it doesn't completely FEEL like you have control over everyone. It's half hack n slash and half RPG. Imagine if this game was more of a Hack n Slash like Devil May Cry. But imagine if it had the same controls as the original. It's the fact that this game and modern FF games is that it's in between so you feel weighted down by the mechanics of the game.

I'm curious myself. It seems like they're deviating heavily from the original story but in a way that makes things interesting. And despite them having that final confrontation, Jenova clone showed Cloud that he's not good enough to take him down yet. They could build up to a huge final battle where everyone actually shows off everything they're capable off to finally take her down.

Sepiroth doesn't go into full God mode in this part because this isn't the real Sephiroth after all. There's a lot of potential for a more epic final fight in the last installment.

Safer Seph will be the stuff of nightmares and legends. You'll see. This was just a small taste of what they have in store. The edge of creation battle will likely happen again, hence why seph said "not yet" when Cloud attempted omnislash, only we will get to play it rather than it be a cutscene

This fight was so intense, especially since it starts out as a one on one fight before your party members rejoin the battle, and this is only a Sephiroth Clone. Makes wonder how tough the real Sephiroth will be, not to mention his black materia powered Safer Sephiroth form

I dont think he's a clone I think its really him but from a different timeline cuz they already hinted at multiple realities in this game cuz Zach is still alive but in a different timeline so this is probably the real sephiroth from that timeline

The fact during his fire phase, he not only said "Oh the Memories" in order to incur Cloud's childhood ptsd. But he also set up a firewall afterwards to seperate Cloud from his two other team mates, just to single target him.

My favorite part of the fight (and every other boss fight in general) is how everyone pulls their weight in cutscenes. It's not just "Cloud vs. Sephiroth guest starring some other assholes", it's "Everyone vs. Sephiroth". Even Red gets to be awesome even though he's not even playable.

I love that square enix put cloud and sephiroth on the same place where they fought on advent children as well. It’s actually very clever if you think about it. The people were already amazed just watching cloud and sephiroth fight on advent children, now this time you get to play cloud to fight sephiroth on the exact the same place. Good job Square enix! :)

I know there’s going to be a plot point where Sephiroth knows Cloud gives him the black materia. He doesn’t look like he’s trying to kill anyone yet even given several opportunities. He looks like he’s trying to subdue, not murder. Not yet at least.

As someone who never cared for FF7 and thought it was just overtalked about, I decided to play the original before the remake and HOLY SHIT it was one of the best games I've ever played and that was the OG 1997 version. The remake was just as good as well. To think that I was born in the 90's and I skipped out on this thing. Though I was only 3 when the OG came out...

I was watching Max Dood's stream and he had a really interesting idea. What if there is no alternate reality where Aerith can live? That no matter what you do, she has to die in order to save the planet and prevent Meteorfall. Then YOU have to make the decision to kill Aerith, or she has to make the choice to sacrifice herself for the good of the planet. Fucking hell dude I got chills just writing this.

Technically its not a Remake but a Sequel. There are already hints that Sephiroth and Aerith know the events of the original game in 96. Remake just points toward Sephiorth trying to "Remake his fate" from the original game, therefore we may have a situation where Aerith doesn't die seeing how her death was the catalyst to making Holy work. Also I have a feeling there are two Sephiroths involved.
