Usually battle food requires sand and/or materials you can buy with scrips. Here I don't see any legendary node useful for crafting food for the moment.

you aren't gonna need 999 for that. He just does 999 coz they are in high demand the hour raid patch comes out so he can put a lot on the mb for a nice profit or he can craft gear for more profit (but there is too much competition in that, and personally I would just sell the mats since they are easier to sell). Gil is worthless in this game anyway, pretty much all you need gil for these days is mounts and teleport fees or if you are too lazy to level up doh\dol and just wanna buy raid gear\food\pots\glams instead

@@hortehighwind8651 I'm doing 90 CUL for farming scrips/materia now (it's a 4-button craft with Trained Eye) and will be doing CUL 99 with the collectables I save up for patch day to cut down on number of items I'll need to store/turn in.

It shouldn't matter. You should be capping both + some collectable hand ins for both which you can hand in day 1 of raid patch after you spent your current cap. There will be mats you need purple scrips for most likely. With that being said, I would guess orange scrips would be for the master recipes but for me it is irrelevant I just cap both and make some collectables for both since there will always be a use for both types of scrips. Just bang the collectables in your retainer so they don't eat up your inventory space

As said before it's not ideal, however I'll be using the teamcraft melds because I don't feel like melding on day 1 savage as I'd rather just go straight to prepping gearsets and consumables for raid.

My crafters and gathers all maxed penta meld. Expensive yea but there is really nothing to spend gil on.

of course it's good and it's not expensive either just make your own collectables and it's free

@@picoriii Never complained about crafter difficulty. The main issue is the ridiculous amount of gil it takes to buy the materia and things to get your gear pentamelded, especially when early on all you can to is speculate what stats you need so you might have to re-meld later and spend millions more gil, and that's AFTER having to spend millions of gil on resources to craft the armor and tools for crafters/gatherers if you don't really have the time to play for dozens of hours a week. An easy way to reduce a lot of the cost with pentamelding, especially for crafters, would be to change how spirit bonding worked on crafters and have it give a lot more than 1% progress for a completed lvl 100 craft because right now it takes like 2 minutes with a full pentamelded amor and tools and a macro and you only get 1% whereas gatherers can get like 10% in 1 minute of gathering nodes with a full pentamelded armor and tools. Most players don't have the time to make a billion crafts to get the materia needed to get the best pentamelds for crafters, especially if they actually want to do the high-end PvE content. Right now you basically need to choose between solely crafting/gathering, solely doing PvE content, or if you want to do both in a reasonable amount of time, spend millions upon millions of gil, which fundamentally encourages buying gil from 3rd-party sources, which is also against their terms of service. Some of use just want to be able to play ALL of the game we're paying for within a reasonable amount of time. There's nothing wrong with a grind, but it's no longer a grind if it's literally impossible to do unless playing games all day is the only thing you do.

It is easy, simply don't play the game and just sit in limsa crafting all day. You ever noticed that 1 guy who just sits there all day crafting in limsa? That is why he does it. They rather have ridiculous amount of gil so they can simp for e-girls than play a video game XD

For me, gil is the obstacle to getting the items i want or to level. once im there, i have no need for it and can see why it would accumulate. But still dammmn..homie can buy bis for all his friends and still not chip away at that bank account

Exploit the housing system and submarine mechanic. Should be banned but square wants thier money either way

The point is not to wait for new gear. The point of not melding currently, is as he pointed out in the video, to not overcap on unnecessary stats. Also melding at a later point usually saves you a lot of Gil since the supply of Materia is only growing the longer the expansion goes on.

@@steamrulezz There are already breakpoints set though. Have fun crafting all the new savage gear with massive macros if at all.

​@@belgo527The breakpoints are absolutely not set, since no one knows what stats you will need. Some places have *guessed* at those breakpoints, but in the past they have been wrong and people who pentamelded at X.00 then had to redo their full melds at X.05 because the breakpoints were different than anticipated

@@belgo527 Watch the video? He explains it clearly and gives an obvious example? The stats needed to craft the savage gear are unknown at this point because they literally do not exist. Anyone claiming they know are lying or can see the future lol. Ashe has been through this cycle more times than people apparantly realize, he isn't a shadowbringers baby so IDK why you are telling him when gear comes out as if he or anyone doesn't know?
