This is a long one but we felt that it could be helpful to anyone looking into getting a 468 or currently playing Magfed with a 468. No personnel bias but just a historical recount of our experience with this marker platform and explaining what worked well and also what didn't work well with one of the better known Magfed markers in our industry.

Not really on topic but I would love if these longer talks could be a podcast. Loving the fact the you don’t just talk about whatever company has decided to sponsor you.

@magfedranchpaintball if you change the follower and spring with the pe ones they hold more rounds the 10 round mag fit 14 rounds fsr because of there shape they cradle the round insted of pivoting on a round surface and there super reliable and they never let me down at the the end of the day i just want some thing that feeds flawlessly. the new valken magfed marker coming aperently is going to be compatible with dam mags witch is really smart

@@dpdonmegat1000may you post a link or provide video/pictures of the magazine capacity increase. I dont see that anywhere in the products description and I think a lot of the Magfed community could benefit if they knew that info, thank you.

Would love a Milsig heatcore in a 468 body they look very similar If I was a Machinesimth thats what I would come up with And I h.ave suggested as such to MCS it could be done judging by what they have done with their version of the EMF100 recently.

Honestly I'm both surprised and dissapointed that the stormer elite wast made to be FS compatible. From a technical standpoint its very easy to do and wouldn't even add any more cost (unless I'm woefully ignorant) and would make it an even more appealing starting option for magfed. :/

I know the answer, i talked to a guy that owns an online paintball shop called AT paintball. He told me that since tippmann and first strike are competition, tippmann do not what their markers to be able to shoot first strike rounds. Actually makes sence if you see it out of the money making perspective. After all its all about money, even in the paintball Industry.

@@supernice8887 i figgured that was a possibility however it is still very upsetting :(. while i do understand this situation from a practical/economic standpoint i feel like it is doing more damage to the sport and the long term profits and growth of the sport overall :(. (i am largely refering to firs strikes monopoly on accurate paintballs and its consequences :( )

@@frankenheart2232 absolutly agreed, i hate first strike for selling their FSR for such a high price (50 cents a round in europe). Also selling t15 markers that mostly need to be worked on to funtion with FSR. Thats just no love for the Sport just big Corporate money making.

I think the issue is that it is not as "easy" as it seems. Tippmann as a brand is known for their reliability. To make a marker reliable with FSR, the MAGAZINE specifically but also the loading components - magwell, chamber, breech, angle needs to be tested, developed and properly executed to ensure FSR reliability. Tippmann has always produced markers first and foremost for Roundball and then FSR secondary. Markers that try to do both without spending the time and money, like Eclipse did with the EMF, typically ends up with a product that does neither really well like the subject of this video = the 468. The root of the problem in our opinion is demand. There is no standardized gameplay that uses, promotes, test, develop, and improve upon FSR and shaped projectiles as a whole. Without this, the manufactures have no reason to produce an FSR capable marker. The problem is money and specifically the lack of opportunity to make it.

@magfedranchpaintball I agree with this dilemma, specifically in regards with the slow rate of growth and adoption of first strike. But I would come down again and say that it comes down to first strikes monopoly on the round and the price they are insisting upon. I've noted your statements regarding the price of first strike compared to its accuracy however the reality is that it is still prohibitively expensive and even more so for someone who might be a prospective player but is turned away by the price :( (I just also wanted to note that these conversations are fantastic and I really hope that you will at some point set up a discord or the like to allow for more of there discussions and even perhaps a community growth that could come together and aid in the development and promotion of the sport ^^ )

😂 You showed a pic of a real BCG and said the real bolt carrier group has grooves in it for the same reason as the paintball BCG to keep it from clogging and paint and garbage out of it and what not!!! Those grooves are there for the Forward assist to engage and push the BCG forward if you have an issue feeding a round to push the round in the chamber all the way.. The forward assist is really not a good Idea to be honest, even Eugene Stoner, The Guy who designed the AR did not want it installed the Army wanted it to be added and installed.. To be honest if you have a problem feeding a round ,why on earth would you want to force a round into the chamber rather than extracting the problematic round..

It was marketed as such by some BCG manufactures. For example the S&W M&P has the BCG w/FA Grooves even though it does not have a Forward Assist. It very well could be just marketing gimmick. I agree with you on whether the FA is necessary or not. I have never had to use the FA on any of the ARs I own. Thank you for the feedback.
