What I would do for a Melee 1.04 is a fighter balance where low tiers are better like Mario, Link, Bowser, Young Link, Pichu, Roy etc are as good as they are in SSBU.

here's the gist of it: Goomwave is a very expensive customised Game Cube Controller (gcc) with a completely different motherboard. Goomwaves can do many things including remap buttons, distort the values on analog stick to match worn out notches, and emulate pode which is a kind of degredation in vanilla controllers that can be desirable for some techniques. It was suposse (this was a mjor selling point) to be very consistent but ended up breaking very often. Notches are made in shell of a GCC to make percise angles easy. Notches are used to get the steepest firefox angles, sheild drop angles, and perfect wavedashes. They wear out over time which can change the angle and make them counter productive, so it's hard to maintain this advantage and modders who can notch controllers are in high demand (this is one of the biggest reasons to get a goomwave). B0XX is a digital controller based on the HitBox that is commonly used in other fighting games. While it was originally built for players with hand injuries it has the distinct advantage of being completely consistent. There is controversy around SDI (basically a series of inputs that move your character while in hitstun) because the most common method to input SDI is noticbly better on box style controllers (note that it is possible to get better SDI on a gcc, but it requires an unusual technique that few players use). Hax (he invented and sells the B0XX) claims that he has nerfed the B0XX as much as possible without making the controller unviable. He claims that since GCCs vary so much you can't balance around them so we should balance GCCs around the B0XX. Players point out that this changes the game itself and believe that there are ways to further nerf the B0XX.

It sounds like an unfounded rumour , there has been no presented evidence despite being easy to test if you have a modded controller

Best option for you is multimod launcher, a memcard mod developed by unclepunch and the ucf team

It can lag in doubles due to the reflection of the water.

It’s irrelevant to boxx style controllers.

I remember back in my day when we played no UCF, PAL version because I live in Europe, with stadium transforming. Aaah those were the good old days... My glory days. Now I am just a bitter old man with broken hands.

Yeah let's just go back to vanilla with RNG Stadium and let luck decide the outcome of the inputs wether it is something we wanted to do or not, why even bother about shieldropping if it's too hard to find the perfect controller or too expensive to do so let alone top players wasting hundreds of money to get their ledgedashes no point. Bunch of hypocrites.

there are joystick angles that are really hard to hit using an unmodded controller, such as perfect wavedashes and certain fox/falco up b angles. the mod makes those angles more consistent to even the playing field between modded and stock controllers
