I just love the smile on Wille's face after the kiss. That's when you realize that he hasn't smiled yet this whole season, it feels so good to finally see it.
the writer of this show, lisa ambjörn, actually talked about the "wille on the table" scene cause a lot of people called simon hypocritical for it, even tho his character is more complex than that. lisa said that simon isn't only jealous in this scene, he mostly feels hurt cause the boys are celebrating wille for his "straightness". the whole world shamed them for being together and now wille gets celebrated for the exact same thing with a girl. ☹️ apart from that aspect, of course simon is also angry and desperate for wille. from an outside perspective it looks like wille starts to conform to what's expected of him but simon can see right through his shit. he's angry cause, no matter how hard he tries not to, he still wants wille to fight for them. ☹️☹️☹️
yes while i do love what lisa said and totally see that for simon i also do love that he IS in fact being jealous and a hypocrite like that's REAL LIFE that's exactly how a 16 year old would act i love that they're so messy and hypocritical and not /perfect/. like of course he's jealous. OF COURSE.

Can we please acknowledge the fact that Felice is embracing her natural hair this season?! During the first season she was so determined to keep it straight. I guess mainly to please and be more like her mom. I love her self love nowadays ♥️
Me too I love it. I did notice in one scene at the girls table. Felice gets told to put her hair up and her friend doesn't and we see her friend also put her hair up. I'm guessing that's on purpose to show Felice being treated differently. I'd love to see more focus on her character next season.
Interesting facts: Edvin shared that one of the most emotional scenes for him was the one of Wille putting the wig on and realizing he is becoming the image of a prince. And Edvin heard Simon's song for the first time recording that last scene. Beautiful!

Edvin (who plays Wilhelm) shared an interesting analysis of the scene of Wille tearing up while getting ready for the ball. He said: "That's Wille realizing that he’s transformed into the traditional image of a prince. He’s lonely, he’s accepted that he has to allow Simon to love someone else. The worst part for him is that it’s himself who does the makeup."
My favorite scene in this episode was where Simon was telling Marcus that fishes don't have names. It showed how much this memory of him and Wille was meant for him, he wasn't ready to share it with anyone. Loved it.
I could only see the first 2 lines and read it just as Brad was taking a drink and thought you were going to say the ASMR of brad stirring his iced coffee 😅
Simon is acting 100% like all teenagers would. He is too hurt and pissed to forgive wille so easily, because he wants wille to chase him, to regret all the times he hurt Simon. When wille says he wont do that anymore, he freaks out 😂
I think it’s not fully that though, because several times he told Wille that he respected if he needed to take time to decide what he’d tell the world, but that he didn’t want to be a secret. He had that boundary from the very beginning, so really it was Wille who wasn’t willing to listen and just decide what he was going to do.

The next day: Marcus kisses Simon in front of everyone without Simon's consent. (A.K.A I want sexy times, but I'm uninterested in that kind of date, even though this is the FIRST AND ONLY TIME you have asked me to do something publicly with you.) [Simon asking Marcus to the ball is literally the ONLY public thing he asked Marcus to do together. All the other date-like stuff they did together Marcus asked Simon to, or Simon initiated a private meet up because he didn't want to be seen publicly with Marcus, for fear people might view him as Marcus' potential boyfriend]. Marcus, Simon tried to break up with you a few days ago and now you're inviting him to stay the night for an obvious hook-up?! Sir, this is NOT what you promised! None of this is what taking things "SLOW" looks like! Marcus is respecting ZERO of Simon's boundaries. Marcus is toxic as fuck and ignores what his partner asks for. REASONABLE REQUESTS. Maybe me being a queer woman just makes me see all of this differently, but I've heard literal therapists say the same shit about Marcus. Simon and Wilhelm's relationship is far from healthy (but makes strides this season). It's immature and petty (though understandable for his age) that Simon is doing all of this to make Wilhelm jealous (maybe not initially, but 100% in this episode), but Marcus could have spared himself literally ALL of this if he had listened to Simon in the first place and respected his wishes when Simon wanted to break up.
It’s the look of sheer happiness on Wille’s face for me. Simon straight up snatched his powdered wig with that kiss!😂 because you’re right, whenever Wille is sad or cries, I lose it. Edvin is such a good actor.
I love these videos, but there is no way you skipped the fish scene at 14:02. "They have no names" is the most iconic sentence in this season 😂 PS: Finally!
The acting is just on another level in this episode!! The way they use only teeny tiny facial expressions, but we can see how both Wilhelm and Simon are falling apart on the inside at that party while they're trying to seem unbothered. Episode four my beloved!!! There is so much I love about this episode. And I found myself surprised that this kiss became my favorite kiss of theirs in the entire show. It was just SO much agonizing tension and wait and there was so much packed behind it. Their second first kiss. Incredible. And I was sobbing during the whole song.
This episide has me in a choke hold, well this season does tbh. Edvin's acting just gives me all the feels, he's amazing . I think Omar has really stepped up this season(not that he wasn't good anyway) his eyes when he looks between Wilhelm and Marcus in the last scene and the longing looks through the season. I didn’t see August telling Alexander about the drugs as a dig at Wille (could be) but rather him lashing out. August is the type to take out his emotions on whoever is near by and exercise power over them. He was looking at Sara having the time of her life without him and here comes Alexander that he can take all this out on. It was also just to have someone on his side again. Sara up until now has been the only person in his corner and her ditching him is him perceiving that he’s being left all alone again so to have someone else in his pocket he tells Alexander about the drugs as a safety precaution almost. If it was a dig at Wille I think we would’ve seen some lead up to that. As soon as Sara comes back to him he stops messing with people again so that def had more to do with her and his mismanaged feelings than anything with wilhelm.

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned it yet, but Edvin asked not to see/hear Simon’s song until they were shooting it…so his reaction is more genuine. Just love that detail. The other thing I loved was finding out that Omar sang the song live and sounded that good; they didn’t record it in a studio post-production like they often do. He’s just that good.

The fact that their second first kiss only further enhanced how special their bond is after having had these weird ass random kisses with people who they “should” like on paper just made it even more intense. I think it wasn’t just happiness from the fact that they kissed but also the realisation that it truly is what it is, you know? Such an insane amount of tension my god

I always watch to the end, darling Finally =) Simon hurts just as much as Wilhelm! He's just a lot more subtle about it, internalising his pain incredibly well for his age, because he's a small brown boy in a whitey white country filled with racist bullies. Protecting his abused mum probably played a part too. You need to rewatch the show and just look at Simon this time, because you missed most of his emotions and reactions. Simon runs to Marcus every time Wilhelm hurts him. The rest of the time he doesn't even answer his messages. Basically nearly all the Season Simon is running away from his emotions, which is really hard for him because he's so passionate and loving and caring and... But his eyes reveal everything he feels, and that's such insane acting. It's like a study of dual emotions. H Don't be angry at Simon though, Marcus kissed him not the other way around - there was zero reciprocity there. Sara hooked up with August because Felice said if she meet someone that makes her tingle, she should sleep with them. Fair advice she just forgot to say stay away from assholes... The queen doesn't just want to keep August in check, she is using him to manipulate Wilhelm into doing what she wants. She has no intention of him ever being crown prince, she's just stringing him along - for 10 years - and that is her punishment. It's so cruel, she killed August's emotional growth journey berfore it even began, and she did it mostly to control Wilhelm.

I have become obsessed with Young Royals, and I am living for your reactions. I discovered your page last summer while in quarantine with COVID and was watching your reactions to stuff I had already seen. I don't watch reactions to something I haven't seen yet, and I had never heard of YR until I saw that you had videos reacting to the first season. So I had to watch the series so that I could then watch your reaction. TLDR: my Young Royals obsession is your fault and I thank you.
Honestly I think August going right back to trying to mess with Wilhelm's life is because like, up until now he was just WAITING for a call from the palace to punish him for the video. (Which, tbh I think the main reason he seemed to feel guilty at first was more just regret for his own sake because of that fear of what they'd do.) He was probably terrified that if he pissed off Wilhelm enough, it would be even worse than whatever was coming for him. Then the call DID come, but not only did he learn it's all basically being swept under the rug with no consequence, he's also the new backup to the throne if Wilhelm steps away. Obviously they aren't going to take any actions that could publicly tarnish his reputation now and anything he does will likely have minimal to no consequences. There's nothing to scare him away from getting back at Wilhelm and being petty as hell all the while. Even if he doesn't end up on the throne, he can still show Wilhelm ever bit of power he still has in the meantime and there's not much Wilhelm can do against it. Sorry, I just also hate his smug grin. Kudos to the actor, Malte, for managing to make August just have such an irritating aura at all times, 10/10 amazing job lol

I hadn't seen before Brad noticed it that Marcus does say he doesn't want to go to the ball but maybe Simon can come home to him after he's sung - i.e. he doesn't care about coming to listen to Simon sing. Then in the changing room, Simon says "he likes it when I sing" as a reason to be with Marcus - No, he obviously doesn't, at least not enough to come to the ball.

Almost every time I watch a series or a romantic movie I prefer not to watch the behind the scenes or the interviews with the actors, because afterwards it makes me uncomfortable to watch them on the screen acting as a couple. BUT WITH THIS SERIES IT'S SO DIFFERENT and I don't know why, both Omar and Edvin act so well. 🤧🤧
