I can't remember if you ever covered the undead devilsaur in pvp, but if you are playing vs another hunter in pvp they count as "undead" so they cannot be feared from "scare beast". You lose your snare removal from not using cunning pet, and no dmg reduction from your tenacity... however playing as BM its better to keep your pet on the opposing hunter and taking advantage of fearing their pet if they do not play with a undead.
I've mentioned it a couple times, not sure in which video. Its important to keep in mind that, while undead pets are immune to charm/sleep/fear, they can also be hit by shackle undead/Turn evil/wake of ashes unlike their living counterparts. Just like with all pet choices, its situational 👌👌 good to hear from you again!
I think they’re both good, spirit beasts got a lot of variety when it comes to looks, clefthooves kinda lack looks, faultline and the rhinos are my favorite, but it’s too bad I won’t use any of these anytime soon since I now main survival
Spirit beast has saved me in both BGs and PVE when I used the HoT while in seed pod after getting dropped. I don’t know if the healing is increased when you proc the pod ability from Dreamweaver tree or what but seems like every time I use in in world PVP, BGs or solo content, I come back to life and when I don’t have my spirit beast out, the pod gets popped.
One thing I take into consideration when raiding is my pet size, the large clefthoofs get in the way of the melee. I use smaller pets, wolves, cats for ferocity, raptors when I feel like I need a bit of extra speed. If I use a tenacity pet during raiding, I use spirit beasts (usually Hati), for the instant heals. I enjoy your videos, thanks.
100% agree, plus you dont need the clefthooves exotic ability in raids 🤷♂️ I WOULD recommend taking a different pet, like you said, however the video is spirit beasts vs clefthooves so here we are 😋
Agree they both have their place, that said I still use the Spirit Beast for most PvE content and only pull out the Clefthoof for kind of sketchy/hard stuff - most outside content is pretty trivial at this point. And for raids, we always have a player with the haste buff (it is nice in Torghast though!) Spirit Beast has been my go to since Wrath. That said, don't use either for PvP (raptor/silithid mostly now).
Yeah I don't recommend using either for PvP haha there's definitely better options like the ones you mentioned. For me, clefthoof is #1 but I don't generally play group PvE content 🤷♂️
Yes, I'd like to see a pet duel between a clefthoof and a spirit beast. More than one, even, with different rules for each. The constant rules are that the hunters don't fight at all, nor are they attacked by enemy pets. In one match, pets fight with no hunter input at all. In another match, pets fight with hunters allowed to cast pet abilities (but only on themselves or the enemy pet, not on the enemy hunter). No other scenarios come to my mind, so that's it, two matches, unless someone else comes up with more. Cheers.
@@xBLUMONKEY Btw, I just measured Spirit Mend's heal, which you commented had been reduced to about 10%. It actually calculated out to 18.6% for me just a few minutes ago.
Haven’t touched my hunter in over ten years till this 50percent xp buff. And wow. I missed my hunter. She was my first toon since wow came out and I’m back on the hunter grind
I know it's been said often that all pets do the same dmg. my experience says otherwise. survivability, and overall dmg, ferocity all the way. facing a challenging elite, with BW, and PR, i melt them. AW gives a huge heal. I literally have an alt that's never died. how's that for proof?
Have you ever considered doing some arena or battlegrounds tips or reviews on gameplay footage? I’m new and want to get into PvP once I hit max level, but I’m clueless on what to do. I feel like you’d kill it!
Haha thanks! Yeah I have, but honestly I have so little time to actually play now, my ilvl is still on the lower side its hard to perform in any type of max lv content, no matter how well I can play the class 😩 I usually only have 2 days a week to sit down and play, and only for a couple hours. Thats why u tend to stick to these types of vids. I didnt realize how many hours a week I'd be editing and working on the channel 🥵
OK Ive enjoyed the videos and im sure will continue to. FOR CHRISTS SAKE ITS BLOODLUST! primal rage = bloodlust heroism = bloodlust. just call it bloodlust
@@xBLUMONKEY yeeeeah but now we'll never see the results :( really will miss these type of data vids, but I can accept that these would have been the most time consuming
hello!, could you please make a video for advices about pets on arena, i wanna advices about vs rogues, are a dificult class for me Dx, (Im hunter beast usually do arena with a feral partner)
Yeah fuck rogues lol I have the same issue. Pets won't solve that problem tho, best advice I can give is to practice your flare. Or just stand in your own flare and hope your reaction time is good lol
didn't they remove blood of the rhino ? I read it was removed and re-appeared again at lvl 60....i'm trying to find real proof of that, but Family info i cant find annywere
Is there a way to make a mouse over macro for the spirit beast heal? I looked all over and could never find anything and the ones I did find never worked.
Yup! #showtooltip /use [@mouseover,help,nodead][@focus,help,nodead][@player]Spirit Mend Its important to get all punctuation exact so I'd just copy and paste this. It will cast Spirit Mend first on your mouseover. If no mouseover exists, it'll cast Spirit Mend on your friendly focus target. If none exists, it will cast Spirit Mend on you 🤙🤙 good hunting!
I know there's a bunch of basic ones around thunder bluff but you can check out wow-petopia.com to find locations for specific models. Faultline is a good one that comes from Blackrock foundry mythic 👌
@@xBLUMONKEY sorry man, got another question. I just tamed a queenfeather raptor but it doesn't seem to have savage rend. Did it get removed in the new patch or is it because of my low level?
Hell yeah! 💯 Just wanna make sure tho if ur using them both at the same time you only get the primary pets abilities 👉👉 but yeah I carry both on me at all times if I'm running BM 🤙🤙
@@estellag4325 Get a second Faultline, put it in the first stable slot, use the lvl 15 talent that lets you call another from your stable and boom, you now have two Faultlines running around with you. Anyone else you can get two faultlines at the same time by just taming him, then feign death so the boss fight resets and do it again.
