Hey, just discovered your videos about a week ago. I main druid and only casually play hunter, but I like how you break things down for people like me who haven't much experience with the class yet.

Love the idea of raising your own pet. Would be a really interesting feature with plenty of replayability.

I think what you really want is talent trees for each pet class, that allows for customization of abilities. This would make it easier to be able to have the model you like, and have better synergy/utility for your choice of pet with talent trees based on the class of pet.

This video was great, I agree with many of the changes, but I have some ideas -make worms a non exotic, why? Cuz they are just worms, a hydra is more exotic and we can use it in SV or MM -give all hunter specs a item, similar to hati, which lets us mount our pets, same functionality -we need some of the old abilities from Cata -let us change specs again, I want to use the model I love, not one that I don’t really love cuz it is better overall Keep up the good work, and I hope people would like these ideas

As usual very cool. Agree 100% on making more variety in pets. One thing that makes me go back and play Classic - having to find, train, level and feed a pet. Learning new abilities to teach it, etc. Love those aspects of being a hunter (can skip the dead zone and carrying arrows!!!). It just would be awesome IF Blizzard had devs that play hunters to actually rework the hunter pet specials. For BM hunters are pets are such a crucial part of our play, it really deserves better attention than it gets (still need more hp in pvp imho). Raising pets would be fun - even if there was a potential to fail (gotta give Blizz that RNG...), but it would add a ton of fun for hunters. Other games that you have to level/raise (ArchAge had a fun system for pets/mounts - they had to be out while you were in combat to gain xp). Special abilities - I'd be happy if they'd revert back to some of the BfA ones - like Spectrals with Spirit Pulse - change that back! But do agree - the ones with weak specials, I don't even consider using them. My fondest hope - Cheetah speed on a shorter CD or on-use with the daze - I'll take my chances!

i have no idea who the dev was for hunters in mop, but they clearly loved the class. raising a pet with abilities? interesting idea, but then you're essentially transmogging your pet. i really wish exotics went back to being the cool, unusual pets that had very useful abilities as before. most are rares, long spawn timers, take extra effort, or research to find.i think blizz is trying to make us a single target class.i been watching the direction of recent nerfs, stat priority, and ability changes. i prefer the cleave.

Extremly good Ideas. Would add that Survial should be able to learn some exotic pets. The borrow attack from the worms makes so much more sense for a survial hunter. Special abilities that push your Focus regeneration just a small amout. I want some pet that has the ability to attach his self to the enemy. Making minimal damage but causing combinations of debuffs. Chanching absolutly the way the enemy must react. To raise your own pet would be nice but it would unbalance damage to much in my opinion. Over all amazing vid

Congrats on having your channel for a year.. newly subbed.. I really hope they do rework some of the abilities on some pets. I feel like a lot of my pets will never see the light of day and just chill in my stables. Lol. I love love love the edit your pets idea.. I hope Blizz is listening.. I know the garrisons are not popular but I wish they would show pets as well as the mounts at the stables.. just saying..

Some sort of Pet Trainer/Master as a NPC who allow you to swap Pet Specs/Spells/passives would be a good idea.

I wouldn’t be keen on anything that forces me to choose a certain pet model. I already feel like I must bring a ferocity pet to group content for primal rage. There are loads of cool models in the cunning and tenacity trees. It seems that the only place that I have true freedom of choice is the second pet for BM. Your pick and mix suggestion would fix that as it decouples the model from the tree and its abilities. While providing more content for the Hunter class, I like it.

Blu i hit 60 2 days ago already earning epics from Raid Finder lol. I haven't watched the video yet but i can tell you i had not played since Legion and i was so disappointed with the way they reworked pet abilities. So many unique and very useful abilities just gone, like having the option for a battle res made hunter just more useful. It feels like the same mistake Destiny made with D2 at launch....water everything down and make it all uniform(maybe to try to balance competitive pvp). All that does is take the fantasy and flavor from the game, making it less fun and exciting imho! Love the content!

What I'd like to see is for a hunter's pet that is both a mount and a pet. It could be something that you could quest for the ability to make one of your pets mountable. I would so ride my Somberdawn into battle.

Revert pets back to legion. Also, give us blink strikes as a baked in class ability purely as mobility help so we have less issues with pathing.

I guess the true problem is that hunters can have 5 different kinds of pets. So if you buff one niche use on all it basically becomes a general all around buff as soon as people cheese pet switches. Blizz aren't gonna let skill impact damage...

Anything other than Ferocity is essentially gimping yourself currently. Ferocity is better at tanking than Tenacity pets... And I was super excited to hear that Cloud Serpents were going to be tameable, as I play Pandaren and have wanted one since MoP. however, those majestic, magically flying mythical creatures...are put in with common snakes. Cloud Serpents...the creatures that fought back the Zandalari hordes and were seen as worth of the Dragonmaw clan...don't get their own pet family. Stuck as Cunning pets, when they are really more of a Ferocity type in the lore. /end rant

While I agree that people are very unlikely to take the stone guardian in PvP overall having NO cooldown on their exotic ability would just mean your pet just revives itself over and over again which would indeed be really annoying in PvP given that a big strat in arena, especially against BM/survival hunters, is to kill their pet first. Having a stone hound infinitely reviving itself would be sort of annoying and while it's significantly more beneficial to run a cunning or maybe even a ferocity pet, having no CD on that revive ability would be super tilting/hard to deal with.

Ok. First, we need hunter’s mark fixed. Does anyone in PVE even use this? Second, the raise your own pet thing is excellent, but instead of picking appearance I would want to see it locked to a choice of 4 species akin to your character’s race. However, I would like to see us have customization options for this. Obviously high quality models. I would love to raise a cleft hoof that’s got Tauren Totems on it for my horde hunter. I would love for my night elf hunter to have a night saber equipped with some night elf/Elune stylized armor. I think the exotic category should go. Give access to these pets to all specs. I think BM should just get access to TWO special abilities if they’re running two pets. Also give BM an overall pet buff to better than MM/SV pets. Not much, but slight and noticeable. I think it’s stupid that BM can cast all abilities on the move... this should be on marksman because they are typically without a pet. Survival should get access to all bow abilities in their spell book through the hand crossbow they use for kill shot. I would also like to see MM & BM get a melee knife ability that stuns the target for 5 seconds in PVE, 3 seconds in PVP so the hunter can escape. This could be on a 2 minute CD or something. Maybe SV should get a 1 minute CD because melee? I would take this as a talent that REPLACES disengage. Yeah, I said it.

Everyone has the same things or use the same strategy these days. Customization has always been frowned upon by WOW. They are getting better about it, so hopefully pets are not too far off. I'd like to bring talent trees back. It would be great to see some abilities just do more. But it seems these days most play BM with a pair of clefthoofs. I think of them as the "new bear", because at one time that's about all there was for tank pets.

Why would you ask Blizzard to nerf Beast Cleave? Knowing them, they will not listen to any of your good suggestions and just nerf bm even more. Its nutz. Have you seen where bm sits on the logs?

Well it would be nice idea yes, to create you're own unique pet. With Like condiuts system along with it. To skill up you're pet. And add like feral cat skins. Or be able to modify you're pet. In my opinion I'll rather see blizzard should stop working on another expansion for some time and instead work on in game modifications options . So you can modify you're character and so for pets. So like transmog for individual looks. Like say add two color fur. Or change eye colors of you're pet. Just in the limits it can be. Or add a pet that you can fly as a flying mount. And no not eye 0f the beast. But just flying ability Or a hunter pet that you can both ride and use as pet of course. I just don't get it why blizz onley so it seems to focus on expansion it self were it would be a great idea is to rather focus on game it self. Create more Battle ground. The garrison should also have bin combined in story as well. And have you're own stable in youre garrison and you see a number of you're pets walking. It's just idea.

Instant res with no cooldown? So why not just remove their health and make them immortal? Seems like a bad idea

I agree. Pets are bland and boring anymore since they made them all the same with similarly useless exotic abilities. But i still think the core hounds are just as good as clefthoofs. They have 50% damage reduction on a 1 min cd, while the clefthoofs is 2 minutes for 50% or 60% reduction. While the hounds lack the extra armor and healing increase, i feel like the shorter cd on their big defensive brings them pretty much in line with each other as best tank pets. That said the heals you can get from the leech that ferocity pets bring by keeping mend pet rolling are worth mentioning. Its especially powerful with 2 clefthoofs if youre using the 2 pet talent in the first row. Paired with camo, u can heal quite a bit, quite fast, and all while stealthed. Feign death, camo, then mend pet and watch your health go right back up to full in no time.

hey kids....is it possible to create macros that include abilities from different pets? i strap my main attacks to pet attacks to try and cut down on down time for pets.......but all my macros are currently for devilsaurs.....so would it make any difference if i added attacks of other pets onto the macros ? or do i need all new macros for each type pet?

hunter pets need to be more unique i dont like they all do the same baseline dmg they need to go back to when certain pets did more dmg than others, i also think bm pets especially exotic ones need much more powerful than just regular pets

i like the ideas, but i think pets need a nerf in PvP , their so OP its fighting 3 on 1...2 DPS and a ranged....i can understand it but just want a way to fight them, maybe a trinket that dispells them for or reduces dmg.....their so many different options for pets... slow + bleed you'll beat anyone feels like...i know DH are weak but dang...lol
