The balls on the shift rails on the transmission need to get cleaned out and lubed up so it will shift easier.... and for cripes sake, put a micro switch on the clutch pedal just like the one on the throttle. Much easier to just tap the clutch pedal than reach for a switch on the dash for your jake brake. Also it doesn't hurt to use the jake on a detroit for shifting quicker and much easier. You did a great job saving this old mutt of a truck that most gave up on when the rules changed on the lengths of rigs. I just don't care for the bumping the back and your belly muscles when on rough roads in a cab over. I do believe that even tho that paint you did on this rig is gorgeous, it deserves the black lace that a guy can do to break the mass color of just firebird orange... I forgot already what you called this color. After I got out of the army in sixty nine, I bought a seventy pete conventional with the butterfly hood.... I made it a tilt after getting tired of welding up all the cracks in those hoods
