@Madden 07 Soundtrack Fan Account [Norma Jean AOTY] the way it ends was currents “version” of holy hell to me. Except i would take it over architects. But to see currents come out with this song and double down on their identity is what means the most
I love the fact that i can't decide between Currents vs Invent, Animate which is my fav band. Technicality, heaviness, emotions and atmosphere are all in music of both. What a exciting time to be a fan of these perfect (for me) bands!
Bro, thank you! I was so onboard with Veil of Maya after Matriarch, and have started to fall off waiting for something to hit the same way. Currents had Life // Lost in the same year and I couldn't decide which album I liked more. Invent, Animate had Stillworld the year after, and has only gotten better with every release. I check their pages weekly for new music. Currents and Invent, Animate have yet to disappoint. Can't wait for both of the new albums to drop. Will be a good year.
Ohhh man what an impossible choice haha Both phenomenal bands.... Comparable atmosphere indeed, never noticed before haha For me personally, invent has more better songs, but currents has better better songs idk 😅 Right now it's invent for me, a year and a half ago it would've been currents...
It feels like Currents have finally perfected "their sound". This song sounds like everything and everyone in it are just comfortable and doing exactly what they want to.
This band does not miss, it usually takes me 3-4 listens to figure out if I REALLY like a song or not. It took me like 45 seconds to decide this was one of my favorite songs of the year, if not my #1. Can’t fucking wait for these guys to drop more and catch them again on their next tour
Currents are my FAVORITE band. I can't promote them enough... this song is everything I imagined and more in their next chapter! Excited for the new music!
Also, I love how the reference The Place I Feel Safest and The Way It Ends album covers in this video. TPIFS is the two on the cliff with the knife. TWIE is the storm they are in spinning in circles. Small little thing i noticed
Never thought I’d see a day where a Metalcore band released a single on the same day as architects and I was more excited for the other band than architects. But currents have been great and architects just ain’t for me no more…
This is by far one of the heaviest currents song I’ve heard from them apart from poverty of self which didn’t do much for me but this single was just so freaking good. And when this dropped I was in the middle of teaching a lecture and I got the notification and decided to cut the lecture short and showed my students this song to end the lesson but yeah this single was an absolute banger and I can’t wait for the future releases 🤘
@@tentinquarantino3005 Honestly don't care if they liked it or not because i enjoyed it and not going to lie I noticed a few of them bobbing their heads back and forth
This song is the perfect mix of TWIE, ILTDI, and TPIFS The atmospheric synths are just PERFECT, Chris Wiseman is a genius The display of Brian's vocal range is just *chefs kiss* Currents are fucking obliterating the metalcore scene
Listened to it last night before bed and went to bed with a smile on my face. As soon as it started with that low tuned guitar i knew it was going to be an absolute smacker. Love the ambience and guitar riffs.
The song is so great. It’s only let down by its absolute garbage mix. Guitars are distorted to the point of just sounding like noise, the leads and vocals are buried in the mix, everything sounds very undefined and blunted, the drums sound very weak and it is overall way too compressed sounding. Like, there’s absolutely zero dynamics in the mix. It’s just a big wall of sound. With all that said though, I still love the song.
I feel like every section of the song is twice as long as I wanted it to be. Also the transition into the chorus was weird for me, it’s almost like the song went down a dynamic in a sense. No harmonies on the clean vocal made it feel slightly empty. I’m being picky here, tho. This track is fire.
@@Riley_Worthen I would put it first but that new Dayseeker single, Without Me, is gonna be hard to beat. But this song is brutal and emotional which is exactly what I’ve been waiting for.
Yesterday my spotify was droppin bangers on me. New Currents, New Fit For An Autopsy song (cover) and a new track from Soen as well. Great day of new music yesterday.
I love this track a lot, I just wish there were more techy high fills between the low chugs which I relate to their style but even so there was a bit of that and there could be a techy song on the album, we'll see! Very excited
Regarding the chorus, to me, it sounds like he's gained way more control over his vocals so there's still a bit of restraint instead of him letting out the energy he did for The Way it Ends. Curious on other's thoughts?
My first thought was the chorus was just too chill vocally compared to the rest of the song, but after a few more listens I've loved it more and more and more Also, the screams in the background of the chorus are beautiful
Fuckin great song, fuckin great reaction 👌🏼 still jamming the new currents & boundaries when I checked my spotify notifications….new Miss May I, new Polar, new Outline in Color … what the hell is going on?!?! 🙈😀
I love the previous album, I just listened to it yesterday. Now the new song popped up on spotify. I must say it's not that catchy but thats the only negativ on this track. But i am pumped for the new album.
The chorus gets better with each listen. It's very catchy and I thought it still sounds like Brian 100%, idk why you think it sounded off honestly. Just my 2 cents.
DUDE IVE BEEN JAMMING ALL DAY TO THIS SONG AND I CANT WAIT FOR MORE. Also love what you do and been watching for a few months, you're literally the only person/channel i consistently watch and follow so Tha k you🤘
@@bogdanhxc "scientists say this is the last thing the human mind sees before death" Human mind before death: "whatsup, today we're going to be reviewing current's new album"
That's a great song. And it reminds me how much I miss a heavy Architects track. I'm going to listen to Nihilist now, cry a little. And then The Way It Ends again in its entirety.
Currents will always be one of my favorite group and is objectively one of the best metalcore group we have nowadays! Chris is a genius, Brian vocal & screams are amazing, the whole group is incredible, can't wait to hear the next album
It's so similar to into despair.... But no one can't deny the riff writing of Chris Wiseman and growth of Brian's voice Need an album by These guys....A fucking sap
