Here is a good magazine speed loader for the Taurus TX22 that not only loads extremely fast but also maintains the correct cartidge orientation in the magazine since it loads while the follower is holding pressure on the rounds as loading is underway. Also works with the Ruger 10/22 and AR15 CMMG .22 conversion magazines. The McFadden Lightning Grip speedloader works GREAT - check it out! Highly recommended. Loads other .22 rimfire magazines with the appropriate magazine adapter.

I just one one In today 4/17/24. Wow it works perfectly on my TX22 loads fast and easy. Also used it on my after market 10/22 Ruger magazines worked perfectly. Now I don’t have to load constantly while my kids fire and unload. And I never get to shoot. I love them little guys but dad wants to shoot aswell 😂

Sorry for late response....you can get it on amazon. I bought the loader grip and the mag adapter online directly fromMcfadden Machine. It was not much difference in price, and they have great customer service.

Yep same. First bunch of rounds sorting things out. I now have over 25,000 rds. as reliable as my ruger now unless the round is bad. I get some satisfaction from just fixing things in general, so I didnt' get entirely bent on sorting out the issues. But still shouldn't have to do that out of the box. But we can have the fun now....

Been using the SW 15-22 adapter w this for years. The best, fastest loader across all brands n calibers. Thanks for this video. Buying the adapter for a new TX22 today!

Bought mine yrs ago. First got the adapters for the Rem 597 & S&W M&P 22 Compact. Would easily burn through 400 - 500 rds. Then acquired the TX22. The McFadden loader is worth every penny @ $25 and the adapters @ $7 each ....

Out of all the accessories I’ve bought for my guns. This speed loader is WORTH THE MONEY. Going to buy another one just in case the government out laws them !

I now have over 25,000 rounds through this pistol and speedloader. The only thing wrong with the speedloader that came up recently was the mag adapter retention lip that hold the mag cracked. I emailed Mcfadden and they have great customer service. I don't expect this thing to fail anytime soon again. All I've done is mcquires car wax on the inside twice. Still clean and working great.

Why would you need a speed loader for 22LR?
@emilyberkowitz66
@emilyberkowitz66 Год назад
Really cool device. Looks like it needs a rimmed cartridge to work, so it would not work for any other pistol caliber.

Don't forget the adapter. Sooo much nicer and keeps hands clean too. I also have the cmmg AR 15 .22 conversion, so got that adapter as well and it's seven seconds to speed load 25 rds. Those AR mags are even harder on the thumbs.

Where do you get these?
@fly4fun463
@fly4fun463 Год назад
@@sherlock1895 you can get the grip on Amazon, but I had to go to McFadden's website to order the adapter. In the end after shipping it was cheaper to get everything direct from McFadden. Get I think better warranty service that way too. Never see these at the lgs. The AR cmmg mag adapter is on Amazon tho.

@@sherlock1895 McFadden Machine makes and sells them. I got mine online. Edit: the loader works really well. It has completely changed my range sessions. No more sore thumbs.

Where do I find a speedloader or loading tool for the COMPACT version of TX22?
@fly4fun463
@fly4fun463 Год назад
You might check McFadden machines web they might be working on the lightening grip adapter for those mags. If the are the same dimensions as the regular tx22s the current adapter may work. I've sent questions to their cust support and they do respond.

Hi it's their Lightnin' Grip Speed Loader, with the separate tx22 magazine adapter. I got it direct from McFadden on their website. www.mcfaden.com/mobile/Product.aspx?ProductCode=LIGHTNIN-GRIP The Product Code is LIGHTNIN-GRIP. Amazon sells it but not the tx22 adapter. You have to buy the adapter. Everyone else I've heard who owns one loves it as well.

Very cool. I bought the Federal blue box for my first trip to the range so it’s nice to know that it should cycle. There’s a black box of 1,000 rounds at my Walmart for $67. Maybe Winchester? Have you tried that ammo?
@fly4fun463
@fly4fun463 Год назад
Yes I've tried several types including Winchester and they work however the issues I had were when mags got dirty...and they collect the waxy lube off some types of bullets fast.... they would occasionally get that short hollow point nose or the edge of the hollow point jammed against the front of the mag when the mag got dirty and the nose didn't tip up fully. This can also cause a dented round. (It's when I started using liquid car wax inside the mags). So-just about any round should feed with clean mags and a slide that cycles fully.
@milspecmike8440
@milspecmike8440 Год назад
I didn’t even make it through a mag with the Winchesters. The Super X is waxy and the M22s are just inconsistent. Mine ran the Federal bulk pack 36 grain HPs perfectly and since my rifle likes them too, I just bought a bunch from Midway for rimfire matches.
@johnschalk1271
@johnschalk1271 Год назад
@@milspecmike8440 Yeah, I had good luck on my first trip to the range with the Federal 36G CPHP ammo. I just had a couple of times where the gun failed to pull the next cartridge off the mag after firing the first shot. Nothing was jammed and no failures to fire, just a couple of failures to load I guess you'd call it. I might try some round nose on my next trip to see if I can tell a difference in accuracy.
@highspeed9518
@highspeed9518 Год назад
Yes it's good for rifles NOT pistols it's M-22 designed for .22lr ar15 rifles
@milspecmike8440
@milspecmike8440 Год назад
@@highspeed9518 it’s the only round that has stopped my rifle so far. CMMG .22LR dedicated barrel and bolt with the better mag adapter and using 15-22 mags and the bulldog drum. It has 6 practical .22 matches and a steel challenge match plus a bunch of testing and tuning including trying out a bunch of different ammo that all ran. I took the M22 to the range hoping to sight it in and use it because I have two of the big boxes of it, but it choked both my competition 22s, so it goes in the plinker pile. The SuperX ran in the rifle but I could feel it was sluggish.

Looks like something from Rube Goldberg. 😂. But it does seem to work, but it would create quite a distraction at the indoor range.
@fly4fun463
@fly4fun463 6 дней назад
My rangemaster at the outdoor range teases me all the time about the 'maraccha' and asks me where the rest of the band is...... at the indoor range I go to peeps are always peering around wondering what that chatter is. Then ask if there is one in their caliber after they see how fast it is.. Its bulky too...sticks out of my small range bag

@fly4fun463
@fly4fun463 6 дней назад
Yep it depends on your use case requirement. Once its set up (and it is a bit bulky in the range bag), I can concentrate on practice and get the rounds down much faster than hand loading 6 clips each time. But if I am only shooting a few rounds or helping a buddy I may hand load as we chat.

Iv been debating getting a tx22 or the buckmark black and gold or even a mark 4 but I don't have am option to shoot them first. Also anyone interested in a shield plus performance center 4" ported barrel with the red dot? Looking to connect with a buyer works out better for both involved. Has about 400 rounds on it

If it's stupid but it works, it's not stupid. ;) I don't have one of these yet, but I do have their older mag loader for my Ruger Mk II that makes loading mags for it a cakewalk. Been looking at the TX22 as an option for a striker fired pistol and knowing McFadden has a loader for it is a big plus.
@fly4fun463
@fly4fun463 6 дней назад
Yeah it depends on how you shoot. When I'm by myself I fill a buncho mags now and spend the time shooting vs reloading with 59yr old arthritic fingers...when I'm with friends casually shooting or helping their kids learn its much slower, so hand loading as we chat works.

How has yours held up? I use mine a lot for various models with available adapters and they never last long. I keep them clean and lubricated, but the plastic always cracks around the fasteners. I love the design, but the materials are too brittle and have to replace them every year.
@fly4fun463
@fly4fun463 6 дней назад
this one is outstanding. over 25,000 rounds. No lie. All I've done is wax the internals with Mcquires car wax twice. Nothing else. The mag adapter cracked at 24,000 rds. The lip that flexes and grabs the magazine latch indentations. Mcfadden replaced it for me no questions. SUPERB product.
