I have noticed that a lot of people say that the difference between the 114060 and the new 124060 is negligible. I couldn’t disagree more. I owned the 114060 and I really disliked it. The super case is just a horrible design in my opinion with those fat lugs and skinny bracelet. The watch just looks ridiculous on wrist. I was lucky to be able to replace it with the 124060. There is a huge difference in these two watches. The new sub has way better proportions. It looks better and also feels better on the wrist. Rolex definitely made the right move here in fixing the case design so that the watch now more closely resembles the classic submariner aesthetic.

Recently tried a GMT and I also noticed the bracelet was smaller! I believe you now need to ask to add a link if the bracelet is too small. Could be a way for Rolex to save some money.
I’m about to retire after 32 years at the same job and want to treat myself to a no date sub. Of course, none to be found in SoCal, so I’m on the list. It’ll be a while I guess….
@Watches & Giggles - Is the glidelock set to the middle when you sized it? I feel that's how most people size these so that you have perfect flexibility on hot or cold day. Great watch!
Congrats on your sub !!! Such a beauty! Quick random question about something I noticed with the new 3230 movement ... when you are setting the time on yours, do you turn the crown anti-clockwise for the hands to move clockwise?
Great watch, do you struggle to decide between your explorer and your new sub on a daily basis? Do you feel there is space for both in your collection looking long term?
No struggle, I really enjoy both! There’s enough differences to justify both in a collection to me long term. I’ll probably rotate them every other week for work. 🍻

I do enjoy Chris's video's. He doesn't ham it up. Anyway, it seems like the AD calls Chris everytime a new Rolex comes in. Does Chris realize all these Rolex's the AD sells to him. My thought is. Why not give another customer maybe a customer that doesn't own a Rolex a chance to own one.The AD is some what at fault for not spreading a new Rolex's around. I don't think Chris is selfish or self centered. But the next time a Rolex comes into the AD, Maybe tell the AD give someone else a chance. To own a Rolex. By the way. I bought one of the first subs with the ceramic bezel. It's a good simple every day watch.
"Finally! Received the call for the Rolex"... big deal, what is it with you guys that make it sound like your so special, your on "THE LIST", "GOT THE CALL"... I stroll into a Rolex shop and buy the one I want without all this garbage..
