no - it's actually a really annoying process to work this out, but the maximum you're allowed to bring onto an airplane with no special permission is 100 watt hours. You are allowed to bring up to 160 watt hours provided you get permission from the airline before hand (I would avoid this process, it's annoying). The reason it is annoying, is that our phone batteries are displayed in milliamp hours, or mAh, which means that most of these battery packs are also displayed in mAh…..but the airline restriction is stated in watt hours. A quick google search for the formula will help you do the math, but I think 30,000mAh is about 110 watt hours. meaning if you go with something that size, you'll need permission to bring it on, or they'll take it off you. if, however, you go for the 26800mah version of this battery, I believe you will fall just under the 100 watt hour cutoff, and there'll be no issues. this is further complicated by the fact that some battery packs offer different wattage outputs, so you'll have to take that into consideration when doing ur math as well. long story short, if you bring the 20000mAh version of this battery onto an airplane, u'll have no issues. The closer you get to 30,000 the less likely you can bring it on depending on the specs of the pack itself....so make sure you do all ur research on the actual watt hour value so you'll know what to answer the security guy at the airport.

I got a great deal from EC technology's 22400 mAh. I got it with a discount. think it was around $17. I charge my iPhone for almost a week with it. It's great on vacations. Never ran out of battery during vacations.

Because to a lot of people that don't even know what 20,100mAh means, more=better. If they listed its price as 5900 pennies instead of $59, those same people would say it costs too much. :)

That's the problem, no one is doing the math. All they look at is the mAh number, and assume that more is better. But the reality is that you need to use W=V*A to make that determination. For example, a 3.7V 20,000mAh battery has 74Wh, while a 5V 15,000mAh battery has 75Wh. Just looking at the mAh someone would choose the smaller less powerful battery. It's really sad that so many "technical" sites continue to misinform and mislead people into making bad decisions.

Jaden Cutcher a 3000 mAh phone is 3Ah it still works. It doesnt work well until you get to really small devices or really large devices. but tbh i didnt know laptops are rated in Wh but i like that system better anyway.

I have one over 5 years old that still works. With about 50% of original capacity(and am about to replace the battery for about $5 to get full capacity again) Battery banks need to be maintained. Our phones naturally get maintained the way we use them but battery banks don't.
