The throat chakra represents our ability to express our truth, our true self, and to do so with ease. It’s about the speaking of truth, authentically , whether personal or universal. Speaking with freedom from the pressures to conform to say what you do not believe or feel, or to hold silence when you want to speak up.
An underactive or overactive throat chakra can manifest as stuttering, stammering, lack of confidence in public speaking discomfort with silence, feeling obligated to speak what you do not believe or holding silence when you want to ask questions.
It can also result in physical ailments such as thyroid issues, jaw clenching, teeth grinding, TMJ, shoulder and neck pain or tension.
The result is the same: there is a truth in you that needs to be spoken.
