Although it's true about 3rd world countries if you go back to when John gay the former Gunn's CEO and timber Miller from northern tasmania inspected the left over carnage of the clear fell logging in northern tasmania he was absolutely disgusted at the amount of beautiful millable timber left for dead and laying wasted. This is not an industry... it's just carnage. There's nothing wrong with sensible selective logging but this mob just destroy millenia of unique Australian ecosystem without regard. And yep it's always the same old cry "jobs and money are all that matter" Mining produces far more money and jobs for a hell of a lot less damage per $ produced. Think of the big bigger picture instead of the selfish short term slash and burn mentality!!
@@neilstleon6251 sensible selective logging is what I support also. And I do agree that clear felling for pulp is ridiculous. Still most of the public want zero harvesting but still desire wood products and have no care where it comes from as long as it's "not in my backyard". As for mining for an alternative for jobs, you must be joking.... at the very whisper of a new mine possibly opening up in my area out come the protestors all aged over 60 well into retirement enjoying there super which was profitable largely due to the resource sector. But the irony is lost on them.

Seeing all of the gold in the pan kind of reminded me of that last serve of Cornflakes as it pours from the packet into your bowl. There aren’t that many large flakes anymore, there are plenty of smaller pieces and a lot of powdered flakes but you’re still going to splash in the milk and eat them while making a mental note to buy more.
so true levi..the last statement truly resonates exactly with my thoughts...as joshua wicks comment says ...its awsum that freindships rank high above riches..its a rare thing these days but i love to see others with that same philosophy suceeding and having the passion for what makes an individual into a truely great freind.good luck..im sure you are going to find a large natures bounty soon..thourough preperation makes its own luck.

All I can say is Wow! That's a dream. I love the fact you guys always emphasize bringing out the family whenever possible. Whether it's blacksmithing in the shop or a day out prospecting, it's always better with the wife and kids. Teaching them from the start how to enjoy life! Gold or no gold the time together is priceless. Keep up the great videos.
