Honestly the fact that he'd go so far for "just a friend" is kind of amazing. He catered to her weird wants and needs and even went to the hospital for her. In his weird little warped perspective, he's a great friend.

For once, Alan managed to get through Rowan's thick skull

The sudden but genuine realization on Rowan's face is absolutely phenomenal. Man's got top tier acting skills.

That moment of realization was Rowan finally figuring out why his friend's kids call him dad.

Hell of a flatmate to trick Rowan to this extent, and that she totally doesn't mind him not knowing he's a husband and a dad 😂

I love to imagine that Rowan was probably the greatest dad ever so far simply by being nice to his "friend's" kids without feeling the pressure of having to be a good father.

Please keep this canon and we are definitely going to need part two and maybe part three and I hope we eventually get to meet them

His wife puts up with an unbelievable amount of cluelessness.

This is when the wife makes an appearance and confirms "No we actually are just good friends. Friends forever"

The fact that Alan and Adam werent invited to the "friendship party" should be its own episode

I'm dying at Rowan's blank stare at his realization that he's married with kids. I think that's the most broken we've seen him. I really needed the laugh this one gave me.

Rowan has been wearing this ring for YEARS 😂 Alan is as attentive as Rowan is.

I can already see the skit with Rowan's family coming into the store. Alan sees this lovely woman and her kids asking for Rowan and starts asking her questions, to work out how someone so nice with such great kids could have anything to do with Rowan. Then Rowan comes out and he is like a completely different person, really nice and loving to his family as well as turning into a great manager that gives Alan and the rest loads of compliments and stuff. Only to turn right back into old Rowan when the fam leave and when the others try to ask what all that was about, his diff personality, he tries to gaslight them into believing there was no difference 😂😂

I mean if you think about it. Claire is legit the perfect woman for him. Manipulating his warped personality like no one else could. It kinda works

I love how Alan figures it out immediately and is having fun with it, right up until Rowan mentions the kids, then things get serious.

I like to think that Rowan took care of the kids too as a favor i.e babysitting. So "from a certain point of view" Rowan is one of the best people ever.

Honestly congratulations to Rowan. I'm sure he's a pretty chill if not weird dad.

The tinnitus ringing as he has the realization combined with his blank “fuck me, I’ve stepped in it” stare was pure gold. Props to Rowan for his delivery and compliments to the director and editor as always for this gem

For some reason this episode is one of the best ever! Rowan's reaction is absolutely priceless.

I know Rowan being completely oblivious to things is a thing but not realizing you are married and you have two children is next level even for him. Well, at least now there are heirs to the Techtown empire. And Rowan's dad is probably fully aware he has grandchildren.

Now we just need the wife to show up and be really mad at Allan for ruining it all by telling Rowan.

I mean, if you think about it marriage should be considered a special lifetime friendship pact. Rowan being in such a relationship with friendship front and center probably made it a wholesome relationship. His Friend/Wife sounds like either an extremely wholesome and patient lady or the greatest manipulator ever.

I'm not surprised that Rowan didn't know he had a wife and kids without knowing it. I am surprised that Alan was able to explain that to him.

I love the videos where Rowan always acts casual about 'just little things' but when he realises what he has actually done, he takes so long to process it. VLDL forever!

I like how Alan is now at the point where he is simply not surprised and just goes with it. There was a time he would have gone bonkers.

The look of terror of Rowan's face once everything clicked! That was great! And Alan just bein' like 'Oops. I broke him. Gonna go hang out with my other friends now.'

Rowan gets the most rarest and difficult achievement "How Did We Get Here"

The moment which Rowan actually understands marriage was hillarious. And the shot where you could see both Alan and Rowan but Rowans skin tone was remarkable more white xD

That setup and payoff somehow had an element of beauty to it.

We need a skit with Rowan's wife, who actually keeps calling him her "friend" because they both actually thought it was friendship and Rowan is the one to tell her they accidentally got married...

I really appreciate how this was the most Rowan way to find out he is married. Kudos to the writers!

Good on Rowan for figuring it out that fast! At the start of this episode I expected another 4 seasons before any sort of realization occured.

Honestly, this was one of the biggest plot twists in VLDL - Bored Series history lol I hope to see a small side story of Rowan and his family (with a good theme) come up soon.

I laughed so hard at this 😂 In russian there is a song by the group "Accident" ("Несчастный случай") about this - "What exactly you meant" ("Что ты имела ввиду"). One of the verses is translated like this: "I still don't really remember your face, But we went - we bought some two rings The organ played, everyone drank wine For some reason your mother called me "son" I understood - this is a hint, I catch everything on the fly, But it's not clear what exactly you meant"

You need to upload an episode of that Friendship party. Absolute gold seeing Rowan thanking everyone coming to celebrate such a benign event.

You always manage to take Bored where I least expect it. Not once did I think that Rowan had been unknowingly married this entire time. But that is so him to completely miss the point through the whole thing. Classic.

I think it's my favorite in Bored; there are a lot of fine episodes, but this one... I haven't enough words to describe my feelings

just love how the story went from “the crew went wear wedding rings because they taking them off for takes just never came up”, to “listen, children, to the elaborate backstory of Rowan’s amazing rapport with his roommate” 👌

I remember the episode when Rowan was all alone trying to sleep in car and sobbing, then the guys from shop came to drink beers with him to cheer him up. And now he's got a flat, a wife, a family and a bunch of relatives. That's a growth!
