Went snorkeling in the Sixes River on the Oregon coast in a remote section of river. Found a monstrous chunk of red jasper that HAD to come home with me.
Your uploads always give me that warm old-school RU-vid feeling, before everything turned into a giant clickbait-based business machine. You were one of the first tubers I ever followed, and I still regularly watch your old videos. I have probably watched the GHB adventure a hundred times, LOL! Beautiful jasper!
Oooh the rough skin newt Oregon's deadliest catch. Ever seen one of those giant pacific salamanders? They are supposed to make a sound similar to a barking dog. Ah the curse of loving rocks, they are heavy to haul home. I have taken to carrying a tiny pry bar in my packs after years of trying to dig out the gems using keys. Pocket knives and sticks that break.
Never seen one. I've heard tales by old timers running into them tho. I told myself next time I move I'm leaving all my rocks behind! The last move almost killed me! Then I'm going to start collecting feathers instead!
Ah yes its always nice when the blackberry vine hugs you on your way out. Nice find though it was worth the trek I’d have to say. -ps this is cahighcountry i changed my channel name..again
Some folks pay high value for high society gym. Some folks swim in a brook and carry nice big boulders that has potential to be turned into some kind of value. 😀
Ha! Nicely done. I would’ve went through hell to get it home, too. Btw, I still have plenty of the obsidian I got from you. Too beautiful to knap. I wonder if there’s a 12 step program for us rock lovers?
