@@hatchbackturbo93 I know how you feel brother. I have a 612 whp EJ8 built LSVTEC Civic coupe and although I'm a tractor trailer driver in the oilfield, we're still going through this as we're in the energy sector and deemed necessary, but we've also eliminated ALL OT right now as we're also EXTREMELY slow at the moment. While I made close to $100k last year and the year before, my last paycheck was over $1000 less than usual and my wife isn't working right now, so we're stuck like Chuck right now.
I've never seen someone so calm about catastrophic engine failure 😂 you're the man. Sounds like you have your work cut out for you on that cylinder head, I look forward to future videos!
@@hatchbackturbo93 good joob and reflection , you need to put 3% more fuel on the only N°3 cylender , and 2% on the N°2 in map tunning ;) maybe OEM oil pump failed ? the turbi steel good ? ( Dav from france )
You Was on Soooo Close to a 9sec pass On the 1.5 $100 piston setup....Thanks for Showing me to Take your Time and Go over and over on Tune &Preparing for Track time...Good Work Doe 9's are There with the 1.6
I used to have little Ninja 250 as my "beater" bike, which had carbs that always had the tendency to get gummed up. I finally traded up for something fuel injected so I don't have to worry about it anymore, but I have to admit I still have an appreciation for the mechanical ingenuity of the carb.
I like your videos. i have a honda civic d16 vtec. I turbocharged him and now I forged the engine for him. I also have my you tube channel documenting the process.
Man I just popped a hg on mine the other day. Got mine apart last night and doing a video as well. Glad I didn't have the carnage yours did. Finally got those r888s you are running and they made quite a difference. Look forward to seeing how far you can push this next build. No doubt you'll hit the 9's.
You could try sticking to the vitara build still and just use a standalone fuel management system? But its always good to go forged pistons. Im suprised! 500+whp on a vitara setup. Almost 9's. Very Impressive.
I appreciate you showing how far the Vitara piston setup can be pushed. (Im currently on that setup, with only Pump 91 available) Hurting Sti/Evo feelings. Not alot of people stick to that setup @500whp. Let alone stick to the D series. They always swap to H B or K. I cant wait to see how much your sleeved/CP piston setup can handle.
Hell yeah sounds good bro these D16A6 bottom ends are like the Holy grail of the single cams there known to hold the most power and the oil galleries on the crank are actually better than a D16Z6 cause they're chamfered can't wait to see a 9 bro
What did it cost to have your machine shop bore the head and block to fit the srt4 head studs? Been slowly gathering parts for a z6 turbo build and you've been my inspiration. Love the channel brother, I appreciate all the knowledge and content you put out.
Love the content! You deserve a lot more subs. From your videos, seems like with just a piston rod combo, it will hold 350-400whp on a jdm d15b(stock head) safely? No supporting mods needed for that power level?
I wouldn't say safely but yes. Anytime you start making 3-4 times the original power it gets risky but as long as the tuning is good it should be fine.
@@hatchbackturbo93 I was thinking more I paid you the money you picked up a block then shipped it to me. Otherwise the double shipping wouldn't be worth it. I have looked it up. But I have zero tools, so by the time I got everything purchased I'd be into it immensely lol vs paying you a few hundred bucks or w/e
@@hatchbackturbo93 i got you. I plan on using aem infinite so I can cross country drive it and it'll adjust to different elevations. Carlos Tuning in Orlando will be tuning it
@@hatchbackturbo93 yeah but now you'll be going with a true forged/built/performance piston and I'm positive you'll exceed what you want. Looking forward to the videos!! Make some stickers man, id like to buy one
@@hatchbackturbo93 looking for 300-400hp ish you think its reasonable? but people say the vents is alot smaller on this engine than the rest idk if its going to affect it that much as people say
@@hatchbackturbo93 what machine shop you recommend in south florida? I had mine built i think they messed on my d16z6 they had told me to go .25 on the bearing and now we getting low oil pressure on idle. I think the clearances might be to loose. What are your thoughts. But yea let me know your good machine shop
STANKIE but with the single cam d16 you can hustle people. I'm going to run nitro methane with nitrous oxide on my d16y7. It will be built engine lol. Most people won't know I'm running nitro methane. I'll tell them I got nitrous but that's it😉. But Lord if it blows lol, I will also have fire extinguisherS if that happens. If I can find a decent Jackson supercharger I'll run that with nitromethane and nitrous to top it off. I know I will be playing with something like a tactical nuke but hey you only live once
