Dean The Butcher in whiskey was my first hat in a now wide collection. Wore it to my wedding. I'm also in the South. Goorin needs to bring on the new release straws.
Dean The Butcher. I like the style. It looks good on you. I like the first brown hat you tried on. I live in South Jersey, and finding it difficult locating a shop that carries Fedoras in size XXL. Can you help me? Shopping for my man. 😉
Thanks Alex. These two are currently my favourite Goorin Bros hats right now out of the seven that I have. I just got the Night Hawk in black and it is my favourite of all. I love the fit of my Dean The Butcher and it's colour...coffee. I have a blue swirl Jackson Wayne as well that I have worn often. Thanks for doing these videos.
I love that Dean the butcher in whiskey, it certainly looks lighter in this video than it does on the website, it looks like an even nicer colour in this video, maybe just me but it does have a sort of rusty brown look to me
Excellent, thanks. A question please- considering my last name and considering the near decimation of the “new world beaver population” (reduced drastically by the demand in Europe for beaver felt hats), do you “like” beaver, mink or other rodent fur other than merino wool or rabbit felt? Aren’t beaver felt hats more waterproof than rabbit or merino? I’d love your thoughts, thanks again, Wick Beavers
Beaver is considered a better material then rabbit for sure, and you are right, more water resistance then other pelts. Your also right that beavers are numerically challenged, and you may want to take a minute before getting a hat made of their hide. (Not saying don’t, just make sure you will make it worth it, both for preservation, and your pocket book).
