On a cloudy Saturday in the Piedmont region of North Carolina, the air was filled with the aroma of food and a buzz of excitement at the North Carolina Transportation Museum. This day marked the Museum's yearly Wine 'N Dine dinner train event, taking us around the Southern Railway’s Spencer Shops, as it has done for many years. Tonight’s train is pulled by Southern Railway FP7 number 6133, a 1950 product by the Electro-Motive Division of General Motors. With a 5 car train in tow, hundreds of happy passengers will dine in fine style on the rails. So sit back and relax, as number 6133 hauls the Wine ‘n Dine dinner train around Spencer Shops!
