Your Rhue looks amazing! I actually really love seeing you knit with your own yarns and showing it off even if you can’t share the name yet! It’s so much more helpful to really see a color compared to just a skein picture or even a swatch. You should be so proud ❤ can’t wait to grab your uptown pullover color

I’m so glad you enjoy it. It’s really really fun for me as well to see how my different colorways work up and ensure that I love them just as much in a project as I do in the skein.

I love your Rhue and your WIPs. Your blanket should look really nice. The Homespun House Advent was done as a fade so should turn out well. I'm excited to see it!

I actually decided to mix it up a bit, but it’s looking great so far!

Wool of the Andes is one of my favorite to-go yarns. It softens with wear and it doesn't pill too much. Also it's long lasting. I have WOTA sweaters that have been worn a lot over the years. My oldest one is about 6.5 years old, I wear it very often and I see no signs of wear on it (except for the very little pilling). I hope you'll enjoy this yarn. It's excellent IMO.

Hi Amanda! The tubular bind off has two set up rows in double knitting before you do the italian bind off, whereas the Italian bind off goes directly into the bind off without any set- up rows. I hope this helps you!

It’s always the things you don’t expect to do well or that thing you don’t think that you wear but you actually wear it the most. It seems like that makes, “making” even more interesting and fun because we surprise ourselves in ways that keeps us coming back for more. Great sweater.

I love the Rhue sweater fitting you as it fits especially. I’m so over the gigantic oversized cozy trend. 😂

Sometimes I really love a cosy oversized sweater, but for something like this, it felt so fancy that I just wanted to fit me super well.

That grey is so pretty and subtle. It should be called frost or something. Also I LOVE the colours of your rhue sweater. 😍

I find wool of the andes yarn is very rustic but it does soften up with wear

Hi ! I would so much enjoy a video about how to figure the amount of yarn needed in a particular pattern for ex: let’s say the pattern needs lace +lace and I want to make it fingering and lace … how do I make the maths..? It is always a struggle to find out how much yarn to buy for a pattern … and both yarn doesn’t have the same weight and quantity… please help …
@birchandlily
@birchandlily 6 месяцев назад
Split the yardage of the lace they call for in half- so if they say a combined 100yds of lace half of that would be 50yds and 50yds. Then just use that for your fingering and lace. So you’ll need 50yds fingering 50yds lace. I would definitely make sure you swatch if you’re going to do that though, a fingering and a lace is going to give you DK weight, where a lace and a lace will give you fingering weight when held together.
