What a Fantastic to finished a long time WIP...and turned it out so cool looking! Congrats, this one was not a quick one to finish! I really ADMIRE All the DEDICATION you put into making and sewing douzens and douzens and douzens oF spikes!!!!!
I've loved this series! This video has encouraged me to at least round up my WIPs intp one place and start working on them. I was thinking that as you attach the single spikes, you could double duty the ends and tack down the ones you want to sew down, eliminating additional ends to bury. I'm with you there on burying the ends. My shirt has some granny squares. 16, with 3 color changes. I looked at it and sighed.
Love the Archery event. The whole series is great fun. Thanks for all your work, a huge amount planning and preparation. What about a WIP Week series? We can all join you and work on our own at the same time, reporting on progress in the comments.
ive made a bunch of anthro animal plushies and to add fur texture (similar to ms echidna's spikes) i made my pieces attached with either one or no chains between them! then instead of having to sew two yarn ends in per "fluff" or spike, i just left a very long tail at the end of the piece and used that to tack down the whole row of spikes! you can even use the yarn end to pull the in between chains down into the base piece if you come up out of a hole between stitches, wrap the end entirely around the chain between the spikes, and put it back in the same hole in the base piece and pull taught. Just some thoughts for next time! I think the plush came out so freaking cute and it would be adorable to make a knuckles version from sonic!
