Replacing the problem injector from the previous video. Watch that video to see how I diagnosed this. Setting overhead and BS’n #cummins #n14 #injector
My N14 after changing #6 injector no starts after sitting all night and hiccups when running randomly. No air in fuel, makes 15 psi while cranking, can’t find any issue. Started great just with 5 cylinders working before injector change. Has temp sens and crank sens codes. Changed crank sens code and code is still there. Pinned wires back to the ecm and found no shorts. Swapped ecm and still have the code. I’m at a loss
Check your voltages at crank sensor and ensure all power and ground is good Do a cylinder cutout and cutout the injector you replaced see if that changes maybe it is a bad one from new. Or just unplug it from outside the rocker box.
It is a good idea but not 100% critical. If you were diagnosing an issue with them it would be a good idea so you knew which one had the problem. The idea with keeping parts in their respective places is because every mating piece has wear characteristics and you don’t want to increase wear by putting non mated parts together. But I don’t stress it to much other than cam followers, injectors and rockers
30 ft lb on injector. 40 then 80 then 115 on rocker shaft criss crossing. 75 on Jake head. Injector setting is threaded down till bottoms then back off 2 flats. Think I said most of this in the video.
