Ike is one of my favorite characters, and I wanted the second video in this series to showcase him because of that.

I just love the fact how Ike is the ONLY non noble protagonist of fire emblem, He follows no destiny or prelayed path by birth. Ike just does what he wants and what he thinks is right. Just a normal guy in a series where eveybody is allready important by birth, but Ike doesn't care one bit if you are noble or such. Even destroyed a litteral god. imo he is the true deffenition of a hero.

Personally I consider Sothe and Kris to be FE Lord's as they "check more qualification boxes" then someone like Lucina who is counted as a Lord (personally I think she shouldn't count) so I would say he was the first but not the only (also byleth will not be a noble, unless they pull an alm)

Even better, radiant dawn was released sometime before brawl, so i guess he decided to strip down to a ranger, take the Ragnell (without a scabbard because he is that badass) and whats the first thing he does? comes outta nowhere and does what no character was able to do, destroy a subspace bomb and in midair with the ancient minister carrying it!

What makes Ike different than most FE characters is that he’s just a normal guy (kinda). He’s not of any royal blood, he’s father is not a king or a prince or even a paladin or knight, but a mercenary.

Ike is also the first Fire Emblem character in a Super Smash Bros. game that doesn't hail from a Japan exclusive FE game, both Marth and Roy were first FE characters but both are from Fire Emblem games that were exclusive to Japan only at the time.

The armor was destroyed and or lost the blessing in the POR fight vs ike plus castle collapse (you can even see it pretty beat up in RD) 3. The blessing wasnt very strong and wore off Btw ikes growths arent even the best part about him. (Especially spd) Look at his bases though. Absolutely amazing

Actually, path of radiance and radiant dawn sold very poorly due to basically no marketing. Ikes popularity, like other FE chars, stems from smash, and the Tellius games are so expensive because of non existant sales combined with actually being pretty good. Btw learn to pronounce plz

What I know about Ike is that he has a Heavy sword and he can flip his heavy sword in the sky he can grab it in the air if he jumps then he flips himself it is Ike's Up B.

I found you through your Monster Hunter videos amd turns out Fire Emblem along with MH my 2 favorite gaming franchises so dope you did a history of both. Would be cool if you did a breakdown of evolution of the games like your MH series. I love Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn. I beat myself up over selling them cause now i can't get them bc theyre rare and expensive. Hoepfully switch gets a double pack of radiant series

I still have a copy of PoR luckily, but no radiant dawn. I dunno, I'm no longer as into FE as I used to be and I don't have as much history with the past games. I started with the GBA games and then lost interest after around awakening. Maybe one day. Also I'm glad you found my MH vids first because these FE vids do not reflect how I like to present myself anymore LOL

Well Priam, ((a dlc-character in a game with many nods or jokes towards the older games since IS thought awakening would be the last in Fire Emblem series), CLAIMS to be a descendant.

I always pronounced Ike as (ee-keh), which means "go" in Japanese I think. It just fits more imo than (ayeek).
