Mrs O'Leary's looks sooooo cool! Complete with a vintage typewriter and a shop kitty :) I've heard wonderful stuff about Annie Sloane, but have never tried it (I tend to not like to paint). I wish I had more of a creative side or a DIY wanna-be vein, but alas, I do not! Gotta have painting clothes :) It looks great, so fresh and clean with the white! The fireplace looks great! I LOVE the colors in your house. We are so thankful for the house we are in now but everything is darker wood and cream colored walls. I just want to paint everything white and gray lol Can’t wait to see how it all turns out tomorrow!!

I love those little stores like that. Lots of cool stuff there. I have heard some other people talk about that paint, maybe you too. I have also heard of a brand called Dixie Bell Chalk paint too. I have never used it before but it seems like the best stuff to use. That is pretty cool that you don't have to strip it or sand it. Very DIY friendly. It turned out very nice too.

Anxious to see the finished fireplace! My mother was always painting stuff white! I think she equated it with clean. I never heard of chalk paint I would've thought it would be like whitewash. Thin and runny, not thick and magical. Anything that prevents sanding and base coating has to be magic! I am also waiting to see if you actually can get Keith to choose decorative items. Now I really, truly, MUST do my taxes. I can't find any more excuses. Yucky old snow knocked out the television. I was jamming to Janis, too. Doggone it! Oh, good, I can delay while telling you my doggone it story. One day Rodney, 2 or 3, came to take me to lunch. We were walkimg back to my office when a bird landed just feet from us on a shrub and I said "oh, look, Rod! A bird!" and it flew away just as he turned to look. "Oh, you missed it, doggonnit" l said. "Where? Where a bird with a dog on it, granma?" Okay. Taxes.

My entire house interior is black. I try to get everything black. It looks sick! There isn’t much contrast as every item is black.
