G can TT pretty well too. Ineos and Jumbo could put lots more pressure on UAE with their stronger teams. Like Bob Roll said yesterday, Pogi was probably simply bonking, not having much team to go back to the car for more calories. This is one of the closer tours in a few years. Its only 1/2 over as well. Thats seems sort of exciting. Its not over 'till it's over!

Roglic is in this team a better domestique for Vingo than the other way around. Vingegaard is younger and mentally stronger (especially against Pogacar), and, important, crashes far less and is therefor more reliable than his teammate. This Tour marks another chapter for Jumbo Visma which started, in my opinion, with the loss of Roglic against Pogacar on the final day of the Tour two years ago.

Im a Tadej fan and i am glad Tadej experienced what he did in stage 11, it will only make him stronger for the future. He had to experience what it feels like to break and now he knows his limits and what to train for. Vingegaard will win this year and if both are healthy next year it will be a battle. A lot of the experts were predicting Pogacar to win this stage, it seemed obvious to me that with little team support and the might of Jumbo Visma behind Vingegaard that a breakaway would get a big lead and they wouldn't be worried about chasing it down and Pogacar would have to just sit and wait behind Vingegaard till the rest of his team was used up, which was how it played out. I think Vingegaard could have pushed more on this if he wanted or needed to and dropped Pogacar again.

One point in the climb, some muppet with a smokebomb or whatever they're called, ran so that all that smoke went right into the faces of Vingegaard, Pogacar and Thomas, the top 3 of this race. It's a disgrace that so many dumb people with the potential to ruin the race is allowed so close. Did they learn nothing from the omi-opi woman, or the man who pulled down Nibali with a camera strap ON THIS VERY CLIMB

Smoke within this race should carry a jail term.

Seeing Pidcock ascend through the crowds was one of the best things I've seen. The presence of the crowds adds a huge amount to the atmosphere and the meaning of the whole thing. More respect and prudence and maybe tougher consequences for idiots - barriers should be a last resort as they would do a great deal of symbolic damage to the race and the sport.

@@Judewilkinsonjfk I'm sure the riders prefer "symbolic damage" to literal physical damage.

there is just too much road and thousands of people they can't get enough security. The fans need to start policing themselves and start tackling the road flare maniacs

@@BobKimball sports are always about achieving a compromise between fans and participants. I think rider's feelings should be taken into account, but that doesn't automatically disqualify my opinions.
