I went to Leavenworth in 1999, I was 27 years old when I walked thru the doors. My first unit was A2, I think I was in cell 320, front half of the block on the right side. I had 151 months and they put me in with a lifer. Back then they still allowed tobacco but C block was all non smoking, it was the most recently renovated area of the prison, I got moved to C2 , was there a few years then got to C1 which was probably the best block in the prison at the time, I stayed there until 2005 when they transferred all the USP inmates out and I got sent to the new USP Terre Haute. I enjoyed my time at Leavenworth, sounds crazy but back then everyone said it was the best spot in the feds. I got over to Terre Haute when it was brand new and that was a miserable place, a few hundred of us from Leavenworth landed there and we all hated it. You have a good attitude, it definitely helps. I did almost 11 years and getting out was a challenge but Ive been out since 2009, have a good job and haven't been in any trouble. Good luck, Ill try to check out more of your videos when I have time.
Thanks for the comment big dawg! Was stoked to hear that you got out, locked in, and haven't looked back. Sadly, so many other guys can never say that. They broke, and went back in. We are RARE ONES! That doesn't sound weird, even when I was there, it was always poppin'. So I can understand where you are coming from, besides, you were there in a different era for sure!
I'm the same. It was miserable AF and felt like forever. It was a blessing though, because it showed me that I just can't handle being incarcerated at all. It was humbling
@@Bret1981massprison is way better than county. You can. Get better food, you have tvs in your cells, you can go to yard everyday. Get tattoos, smoke, get high and all sorts of shit that you can't get off in county.
Bro Cook County jail is worse than any federal or state prison. That’s in Chicago. Cook County jail not prison is the worst. You were in club fed compared to CC J in Chiraq. Savages be in there.
On god bro. I did 5 and a half in IDOC. Not a single prison in the entire state I went to was close to as bad as the county. The MAIN difference is 30 days in seg in cook county a knife vs a year across the board for a banger in IDOC + a new case 😂
1996 B LOWER 116......IN FREEZING COLD ASS KANSAS, BUT LEAVENWORTH HAD THE BEST FOOD IN THE FEDS....CRAB LEGS, BIG ASS STEAKS, MY CELLIE BLEW UP THE WORLD TRADE CENTER, THE FIRST TIME. I SAW THE MOVIE HEAT.....IN LEAVENWORTH...I'VE BEEN HOME 22 YEARS STRAIGHT NOW. GOOD LUCK BRO!!!
You are a great story teller. After a few minutes, I forgot I was listening to you talk and just got caught up in the story. You will do well on here. Looking forward to more.
OMG the grandma voice ringing in ur head echoing everyday.........Samething for me when my moms saw me shackles andgranny was like omg omg...thinking im w other monsters but i was one of them...and the first riide when you get out and ope nthe windows of the car going home feels SOOOOOOOOO repenting and hurts ur heart.... DAMMMMMMM old days past is GONE. THANK YOU LORD fk rikers island
Man, thanks for the comment. Yeah, you know what it is. The disappointing your family is the WORST part of prison. Doing the time is much easier than not being able to support your family and make them proud!
I dont live in Leavenworth, but a few towns over, the Pen is daunting. Sounds silly, but I do the speed limit past there cause I don't even wanna play lol. I've known so many people who both have worked there and at Lansing. I've heard stories!
Wow. What a huge breath of fresh air as far as after prison channels go. The family thing really hit home because my past substance abuse broke my family's hearts SO many times. Subscribing immediately.
Yeah it would do your head in worrying about all the things outside you have no control of anymore. Will they be around when you get out? Do you still have money in the Bank? Is your wife still your wife?Do you even still have a car? All that sh.t woul fry my brain❤
Not at all. Your whole life disappears, no credit, no drivers license, you completely fall out of the system. I lost everything, but I've been building it all back, even better now! Thanks for the comment.
Great content and video quality love your stories man. I'm sure you've seen a bunch of the other prison channels on RU-vid it's just a matter of time before the algorithm picks you up and this blows up. Keep it up bro👍
I'm pretty sure that's what happened with me the algorithm pitched you my way I thought I knew about all the prison genre how long have you been doing this for @@BrettBooker
@@BrettBookerPerhaps its already happening because your channel just popped up & caught my attention because I watch a lot of things regarding historical prison stories from both here in the UK & the good ole US of A. Best wishes to you & yours & the channel ❤
Got to tour Leavenworth when I was stationed at Ft. Riley. Scary place! Edit: Sorry bro, I got confused. I have a military background so I always associate Leavenworth as being a military prison. I didn't realize the federal prison was called Leavenworth also. Still a very cool story. I toured the USDB, Not the Federal prison.
Yep I DO NOT MISS THE FILTH IN COUNTY JAIL! Laundry once a week "if you take that chance" it always came back smelling like piss. Rumor was guards pissed in the dryers... Years later that came to be true! Anyhow imagine washing your jumpsuit drawers and socks, in a 6inch sink w a push button (I'm not using the toilet, in County)... or if your lucky enough to get popped out first thing early in the morning, you race to the shower. Then you clean everything in there w the mop bucket! Sh¡TTy times I don't forget & what keeps me free!
Never went feds but went state in KS actually. Worse thing ever can happen imo is serve day 4 day prison sentence then ship back told county cause you owe time on same case still. Talk about some bs. But free now 8 years next month and staying this side of the walls, at least that's my plan. Never say never when you have kids though I was told.
Great story of redemption! I been to plenty of county jails and prisons. I never wore no dirty drawers! 😂 Wash them bad boys in the sink if you have to!
Hey bro I feel u I picked up a conspiracy case and it was a 10 year mandatory done 8 years at usp Florence Colorado from there a half way house it was a hard ride but thank god I made it home keep up the good work and I’m glad u made this video ..
Just found you're channel. Love your videos very informative. My fiancee spent 25 years in a Florida prison for attempted murder in second degree. He passed away in January of 2022. But keep up your videos. ❤.
How was your first day did guys try toi fight or rape you are these movies they shoe real be honest with us when you first came in prison was it good or bad alot of people make up stories about what happened in prison please be honest with us
Just found your channel on my fyp. I like your content and appreciate the fact that you own what you did wrong. Prison content is really hot right now on RU-vid and TikTok. It will only be a matter of time before your algorithm takes off. I subbed to you
Did they start giving prisoners RU-vid how too classes? I swear there is recently an army of convict motivational channels? Not criticizing you personally. But really it’s like what van life and family vlogs. Actually some are being filmed inside! Anyway good luck. Congratulations for the great content idea. Tell Wes Watson hi at the convention.
It's hard for men like you that brake the law and are on the wrong path and get a prison sentence and turn your life around while in prison but when you get released it is a nightmare to find employment to find help they should have a program atleast to help when you guys get released even if it for a couple months until your able to find employment and housing Ive had friends that got out and were on the streets with no hekp in sight yet tgey want you guts to chnagr and do the right thibg it truly bad for you guys
Yeah, I understand that, and it is tragic. At the same time, it is one of those things that because so many guys waste all of those years behind bars watching TV, getting high, gambling ... what do they expect? If they spent all that time leveling up their mind and body, everything would have worked out. They would find a way!
