To prime pumps like that you got to get it full of water before it will actually form a vacuum and suck in more water, that's just the way it works🤷🏻‍♂️ just for future reference.

This. I have a VF kit on an e46, and the reservoir is the lowest point in the cooling loop. Works fine, just needs to be topped off completely.

As a firefighter anytime we go to draft out of a water source other than a hydrant it's a pain you gotta get all the air out until you prime it then it will start pulling a vacuum and flowing. Giant pain especially when your in a hurry

Ben, dont know if you have tried this or not, but if you hook everything up to draft,then open value so the water in your tank drains into the pump and out into the suction line, assuming you have water in the tank, then turn pump on and pull prime valve it usually works right away. The water coming out of tank purges all the air out of pump and line. I use to wait till i saw bubbles in the lake where my pick up was, then hit the pump and it worked without even having to pull prime valve.

I have a supercharger on my 5.0. Most pumps have to be gravity-fed. They’ll pump it out, but they don’t pull towards it AND also push it out - they only push it out.

Did you read the small print on Vf 's website ?! As far as i remember i think you still have the cats on ?! "Software tuning provided is designed around the stock vehicle. Any major changes in airflow components such as high flow cats or enlarged throttle body diameters may require custom tuning optimization which VF does not include or provide." Hope eveything goes well and if you make it work , please put the exhaust on "silent" so we can hear that whine from the supercharger Good job bro'

When you flashed the ECU the headlights stayed on the entire time. When flashing a ECU that takes a long time it’s always advised to have a battery charger connected to the car. If it dies while loading the tune you’re in deep sh/t 99.99% of the time 😞😞 Love the vids and constant uploads Devin. Much love from SA 🇿🇦🇿🇦

I have the same kit, and it's well worth the trouble. My kit is slightly different though in that the BOV is on the pressure tube instead of the plenum , and it has ports for meth on the side of the plenum at each throttle body. Anyways nice work.

Hey dude, from one mechanic to another, I see you fighting getting rubber/ silicone hoses on and off. I use silicone lubricant in a spray can and it's a game changer for install/ removal of hoses! Ps, just got my Vasyn apparel from the latest drop, shits 🔥

Devin, you NEED to buy a vacuum cooling system filler. I use mine all the time and it works so damn good. 5-10 mins and you're done. No bleeding no nothing.

Pretty sure that BOV should have that second port blocked off or have a second vacuum nipple like the old HKS BOVs did. Should use one for low boost levels and both when running higher boost to help open the valve faster.

Im not exactly a mechanic just kinda backyard and DIY like you but not as in depth but in my opinion your boost leak with be fixed mostly with that pcv valve. When mine broke on my car it didnt run right at all and i think youre correct on saying all the air is escaping through there instead of going into the engine and building pressure

Chin up mate. You'll get it sorted. You always do. 🤞 Purely out of curiosity, as good as the V8 sounds, did you ever consider the twin turbo 135i or 335i. I had a 335i and I loved it. Stock turbos aren't the best, and waste gates have rattling issues, but with your skill and knowledge, you would have easily sorted that. Loving your content mate. 🇦🇺👍🇺🇸

Contact the supercharger tech support verify what ports go to what and there's probably a special process when doing the install to get everything even into seal properly. You are so close you got this! Maybe visit a boneyard with a crashed BMW tol 🔧 those missing parts to get back on the road 💯💯🌪️

I’m assuming they mean once the pump is primed from head pressure from your reservoir. You might have to raise the pump to let the air out of the pump to get it to pump vigorously.

Best suggestion for any BMW do not cheap out, you will pay for it! Btw when you start replacing parts with quality it will bring out faults where it needs to be reinforced! Better also change the throttle-actuators, if they have not been done earlier. They will fail. Boost leak should be fixable quickly. Compliments for your skills, BMW engines are not easy to work on 👍

Putting water directly in the pump is the correct way to prime it. If not the pump just spins and eventually burns up. I do plumbing and deal with pumps everyday.

As an owner of an 04 Cobra, all you had to do was submerge the pump head (not the motor) in a bucket of water and power it on and it would have pumped all over the place.

Hello, the program is very good. Congratulations!! If you allow me, I would like to make a technical query about a question I have. A few months ago I bought a BMW E92 V8 year 2011 Manual box and with 100,000 km. When I bought it I noticed that when I accelerated the car in neutral at 1,600 / 2,500 RPM I noticed a very, very slight vibration like an unbalanced clutch sitting in the seat. Above 2,600 RPM the vibration is no longer noticeable. In my experience I thought it could be a bad motor mount. I personally made the change of connecting rod bearings, change of engine mounts, and spark plugs, after all those improvements, I still notice the vibration. I have never had an M3 E92 before and perhaps that is the norm in V8 engines !!, the questions: Is it normal? What if it is not. Do you have an idea to guide me what could be the fault, or what to control? Thank you very much Jose from Argentina ..-

Yea those pumps do not have the propeller connected to the rod. It spins off a magnet. Just buy a cheap coolant vacuum refill system from harbor freight
