First funerals being held in Uvalde after deadly school shooting

Mourners are attending funerals and visitations in Uvalde, Texas, this week for some of the 19 children and two teachers killed in last week's school shooting. CBS News correspondent Lilia Luciano spoke with the sister of one of the teachers, and she joined "CBS News Mornings" to discuss the outpouring of support for the victims' families.

And nobody wants to talk about mental health and young men today overwhelming numbers of young men have mental health issues and brain disorders for whatever reason yet nobody wants to talk about that it's always the evil gun that's the problem it's always something else propaganda at its finest CBS you are part of the global elite propaganda agenda. We have to round up all the boys in young men out there who have mental health issues and put them in it institutions or facilities to rehabilitate them oh that's too difficult no we're not talking about that now let's just pass universal gun laws that outlaw all guns that's not going to fix the problem but okay that's what you want to do you want to look to a very black and white solution to a very complex problem

Why aren't you mad at 5he teacher who heard shooting and left the door open, or the school officer who wasn't on site? Or better yet the mom and dad who totally checked out on raising this kid, then he bounced around from relative to relative, and finally ended up at grandparents house. Great reporting, Lilia. From what platform was that devil making those threats for days? Why didn't the platform's "filters" see that and report to the authorities? Wonder why the merchants of the ammunition did not raise a red flag when a teen was buying them in alarming numbers!!!

A couple of hundred rounds are not alarming numbers. My local shop gets multiple pallets of 1000 round value packs for various calibers. They’ll sell 60 of them in a week. During some of the mad rushes over the last couple of years I saw them sell in hours. The price is going up with the fuel prices. People are hoarding everything they can get. Either to sit on or price gouge online.

gun owners did not help save a single kid's life. Some gun owners helped the shooter get his gear, think about guns too much, direct his problematic personality to use guns on kids, and to defend his rights even while dead Texas kids died by his hand.

The IC failed to do his job. What should have been done was handcuff the IC and take action. There was no reason for a 45 minute wait. If an officer can’t do the job sworn to do they need to quit. Period.

All the police need to be hold accountable for what happened, because when that lady came to run in to get out her two children, the time when they cuff her and try to stop her from going in to save her two children, and when they were ask to remove the cuff off her, and she begin to run inside for her two children that's when they should run with her inside to save the rest of those children, and if those police has done that so many life's would not be lost and that's a damn shame, and just like how that mother make it out alive with her two children then the others would make it out alive too.

i RECOMMEND corrective training , this is not even a punishment, its an additional requirement for UVALDE's police officers, everybody, lullydaddy including their chief, sheriff,and every law enforcers in that city. How many more sad stories do families have to endure? After Sandy Hook, how was this school not protected? Instead of the blame game, lets all pray for the beautiful children and the two beautiful teachers who were murdered so senselessly. My prayers are for the families of this horrific tragedy. Future generations should be taught that having a gun doesn't give you the freedom to hurt others. I wish people were more responsible and understood for once and for all that guns weren't created for crimes and random shootings. I know they can be used for hunting legally and other sports but hurting others is something UNACCEPTABLE. These innocent children lost their lives for no reason. Clearly, guns aren't the answer, and if someone is struggling with mental issues, bullying, etc, this is not the right way to go. Is that so hard to understand for some of y'all? Sick and tired of watching news about these unnecesary shootings. May these angels rest in peace! :(
