Thanks for the RS 660 vids! Some quick questions: With the Akro exhaust and the Rapid Bike module, are the improvements in performance easily noticeable (compared to when it was 100% Stock)? I’ve read that when completely Stock, the bike has a flat spot in the mid-range power. Did the Akro/ Rapid Bike combo address that issue? In the time you’ve owned it, would you say there are there any drawbacks to the Akro/ Rapid Bike combo, other than the cost? Did you consider the UpMap that Gabro Racing developed (instead of the Rapid Bike)? Other than apriliaforum, what other forums to you read? Look forward to the upcoming Dyno video of your awesome bike!
I’ve seen dyno’s with the Akra and and SC. Looks like the Akra fixes that power drop between 4 to 5k rpm but it’s still a little noticeable to be. Not completely fixed with the rapidbike. I chose rapidbike because at the time it was the only thing available. I did consider Gabro upmap but it wasn’t available at the time I place the exhaust on.
@@RETMoto Thanks for the reply. I’m looking forward to your upcoming Dyno video. With the SC installed ONLY, the 3/2/21, 11:43 pm posting by flobrandx in a apriliaforum thread (called Picked-up-my-RS660-today!-Race-build-to-begin) indicated the possibility of less HP without addressing the lean air to fuel ratio created when not using an aftermarket solution (like your RapidBike or UpMap). I’m assuming there would be a similar result with an Akro, but hopefully your RapidBike will take care of it, and adjust the air to fuel ratio accordingly.
The rear being too spongie. I had to fix it myself by bleeding the rear brake. After that it stopped making that nasty sound and gained a lot of extra power. Try that.
