I got the 2024 I put about 3,000 mi on it and it's got traction control abs but you have to get the SE model in order to get the adjustable suspension I have the ABS which is the same it just doesn't have the adjustable suspension and maybe some other things I haven't figured out yet
It’s just passed you gas tank you don’t need it in states that don’t require smog. And this like the 100th 660 I’ve seen on int an in person that has had an oil leak under 10,000 miles
Your lagging the bike at those rpms at a track you're most likely riding at least 7 or above mostly between 8 and 10k. You should also be cruising at between 5 and 6 k. Not below 4.
Got the 2024 Modell in March and put roughly 3.000 miles on it. No issues at all so far. But sometimes, I have a feeling the bike isn’t as quick on acceleration anymore.
The engine and chassis is very capable. Held back in OEM form, but some aftermarket help is all it takes. Forks can always use new cartridges. Rear shock is almost always very limited from factory, most of the time the only fix is a complete swap. Brake pads is the least expensive way to improve braking power/feel. Tires would be the next obvious plan, getting something that is more "V" shaped profile offering greater contact traction while leaned over (DOT rated track tires). People don't realize that high level traction and high corner speeds on a track means the suspension is going to compress a LOT, which reduces ground clearance and limits corner capability (and track lap times). This is why bikes set up for racing are usually stiff, to deal with the compressive forces in the corner.
GEICO wouldn't insure my car because they needed proof of a software update being done on my vehicle. I thought it was one of the stupidest things that I had ever heard. I ended up getting a better deal with progressive and got a lot more coverage for less...
Hi there, enjoyed your review as I bought one. Is it possible to put links for the aftermarkets parts you added on in your review. Thanks much appreciated
I was really close to buying one of these bikes, but after watching your video and several others talking about reliability issues, I think I'll stick with Japanese bikes.
Little late, but just fyi after 2021, the 22+ models have fixed most of the issues that were common upon 21 models. Still have issues here and there but nothing any other bike wouldn't have and still easy fixes.
I just bought a 2023 RS 660 same color. Can I expect the same issues? I didn't buy it brand new, bought it with 2k miles on it. It doesn't seem to have issues so far, but I'm getting my license again. What should I look for?
Had an Aprilia RS 125. That 2 stroke engines power band was insane you know the legendary 2 stroke I'm talking about any way it put me off motorbikes.first big trip on it after having it for a month the engine seased up going round a corner at 50 miles an hour just by pure luck I pulled the clutch in and it released the back wheel again. I nearly died. Had it for a year and and 3 engine re builds under warranty. Cost me £4500 sold it for £700 after having it for less than a year. Aprilia just say no
I know this video is a year old, do you still have this Bike? 5 issues like that in the first year. I would’ve traded it ASAP for a Yamaha or Honda. Never had a single of those issues with those Makes.
Hello, Rider! Hope you're doing great! Love this clip! Would it be OK if we used it in a youtube video we're making and maybe share it on our social media? We'll credit you in the video and all descriptions. Thank you! :)
Solution to Mirror Vibration: Pelican foam strips (pick-n-pluck) stuffed into the gap behind the mirror helps reduce the vibration a TON… I used about 8-9 in each mirror, and it is golden now.
660 cc, 2 cylinder, 270 crank and more importantly 100 whp...those number is very strained to look at it a super vibration engine and hard vibration for engine is super no no
Such a fine looking machine. I hope they get it straight for you with this bike. It is your second one , right? Ive know aprilia for the past 28 years. The tuono 1100 oil leaking also. Your video's did make me step aside from purchasing the tuono 660. I purchased the Z 650 2023.
I had the Tuono 660 heel guard installed by the dealer when i took delivery of my lava red rs660 it fits perfectly, no issues. Most dealers are aware if this issue and would probably offer you this option. 😊 love the RS660 she is simply awesome !
Hey man i just got a new 2023 z900. I was wondering where i add coolant or if i do. The coolant reservoir under the seat says its almost low. Do i need to put more in it or do i add it in the actual radiator in the front? Or do i need to add at all? Im not sure of the function of the reservoir under the gas tank.
