Vietnam had some of the most severe lockdowns in Asia. It is great to see it open again ... We visited Vietnam in 2018 and REALLY loved it. Check out our video on our channel. Support Vietnam.
I can’t wait to see more from Vietnam, you guys are amazing and so natural and organic on how you present things around. Vietnam is one of my top list of countries to visit so I am looking forward for your videos and I can’t wait to see the resort inside since I was already sold in the outside.
As long as Vietnam is still ruled by the oppressive and exploitive Communist regime, her potential remains greatly diminished. For any 1% that wants to stay, 99% of the population wants to get out, and many have risked their lives doing just that (for example, 39 doomed lives found in UK container truck recently on the news, and that's only what's been reported), unfortunately. Yet another shocking and also recent example is that during the Covid pandemic when almost all countries assisted their citizens with financial aids in one form or another, the corrupt and murderous Vietnamese Commie regime saw it just as another opportunity not to help but to exploit its ruled citizens even more, essentially making money over the corpses of its citizens by presumably killing at least 30-50K of them, due to grossly misdiagnoses and being thrown into barbwired unhygenic living quarters for isolation, so that they had to sleep on concrete floor, even next to filled trashcans, with inadequate toilet, food, water, or medicine, like animals (searching hard enough, one is able to see shocking video clips on Facebook though the regime tried hard to crack down the leaks by Vietnamese citizen journalists), with the fake nostril Covid test kits, mislabeled as approved by World Health Organization (WHO) in Việt Á scandal, colluded by at least 4 different government agencies (Y Tế , Khoa Học, Công Nghệ, Quân y) and the top Politburo members, including Nguyễn Phú Trọng, Phạm Minh Chính, Nguyễn Xuân Phúc. Murderous Vietnamese Commie regime even had a thug murdered Christian pastor Giuse Trần Ngọc Thanh, like it has done with many other pastors across the nation. There is a reason why the current Commie Vietnam ranks at the bottom of the world in freedom of speech, (true) freedom of religion, and freedom of the press, barely above Commie China and Commie North Korea. There is no true freedom of religion in Commie Vietnam, as this corrupt Vietnamese Commie regime only authorized the fake organizations headed by Commie monks, many of whom were Commie Party officials, and those religious organizations not approved to be infiltrated by them or headed by their Commie agents are accused of malicious and nonexistent crimes and banned, with innocent religious leaders arrested and jailed, as in the recent case with Thiền Am Bên Bờ Vũ Trụ, a harmless Buddhist meditation monastery, for simply having many followers (hence, more influences that the regime fears it can't control) than the Commie Party's officially approved ones. Similarly, its passport ranks at the bottom, 89th out of 111 countries for a reason, barely above North Korea 104th rank. even below many African nations. For comparison, South Korea is at 2nd rank. That's what Republic of South Vietnam would have likely been ranked among at least the top 10 had it not been invaded and occupied by the North Vietnamese Commie terrorists, aided by Commie Soviet and Commie China. Search "cuop dat dan" (meaning "land-robbing of citizens") to see millions of footages across the country from North to South, spanning for decades, dated back to Ho Chi Minh's bloody land reform 1953-1956 that killed nearly 1 million North Vietnamese in only 4 years, or 250K people brutally slaughtered in torturous painful deaths (like being shot, stabbed, mutilated while being alive, or heads being plowed over by water buffaloes while bodies being buried underground) each year on average to rob their lands and homes. Even today, if the rightful owners refuse to have their homes or lands robbed, the ruthless Vietnamese Commie terrorist regime simply jail or massacre them, have tractors run over their bodies or openly assassinate them in their own homes. When it comes to robbing, these barbarian Vietnamese Commie bandits even prey on each other, just as the recent case with then 84-year-old Mr. Lê Đình Kình, a 55-year-Commie Party veteran from Dong Tam, near Hanoi, that got shot dead at 3am in his own home by the Vietnamese Commie terrorist regime. When his wife Mrs. Dư Thị Thành refused to lie about the incident as ordered, the Vietnamese Commie terrorist police brutally tortured her (see more details from "dandongtam" on Facebook). The corrupt Vietnamese Commie government officials routinely dine on lavish gold-plated Salt Bae steak $100K per meal with blood money not just from taxpayers but also from robbed-lands and robbed homes recently drew international condemnations, while many Vietnamese citizens, including elderlies in their 60's and 70's as well as kids as young as 6's to 16's selling lottery tickets on the streets to survive on $2-3 per day. Even Phạm Nhật Vượng the richest man in Vietnam (via his VinGroup) made the bulk of his wealth mainly by colluding with the barbarian Vietnamese Commie regime in selling their robbed-lands from Vietnamese citizens. Travelers to Vietnam in her current form (not at all like this before the Communists took over) should keep this in mind. Behind the beauty of the land and smiling faces at popular tourist destinations, there are a lot of darkness and tears, bloods, sweats, sorrow, horror, and sufferings all over the country.
I cannot wait to see the rest of this trip, I really would love to go visit VietNam 🇻🇳 All the best Sabrina🇫🇷🇬🇧 I would dig this coconut café yum yum yum 😋
I LOVE Vietnam. Btw in Asia, ppl wear masks in the street (way before Covid) because of traffic and pollution so not a surprise to see them take it off indoors lol. Ha Long is a special place, enjoy ❤
People in Vietnam and Asia in general have been wearing masks out and a bout for way longer than COVID has been around. Some do it for dust purposes and some do it to protect their skin from the sun. So I wouldn't really use that as a barometer for whatever actual mandates they have. I'd just the US Embassy Health and Safety page to see what it is currently. I think at the moment it's just sort of use at your own caution and recommended when within 6 feet similar to a lot of the US.
Vietnam is certainly more beautiful than I would have pictured in my head and also…very quiet! I look forward to future videos and I hope you enjoy your stay there.
Don't let the quiet of Hai Phong make you think the rest of Vietnam is that way....HCMC and Hanoi will be way different as far as how busy and noisy they are. LOL! Go check out One Pack Wanderers video that was recently uploaded of them walking across the street in HCMC (Saigon). :)
I accidentally discovered your video. I subscribed immediately to follow your adventures in Vietnam 🇻🇳. I am Vietnamese who lives in Canada 🇨🇦. Thank you for sharing this beautiful video. Have fun and enjoy the new experiences.
The past 2 years have been really difficult. I have to close the hotel in Ha Long. I just want to cry . And you guys so friendly. Welcome to my hometown.
This is so fheartbreaking and rustrating to hear. Really hope it picks back up. And you are such a nice soul to take the time to comment and cheer up on others!! Best of lucK!
Very glad that you guys made it.! As always good planning provides the best results. beautiful video..So happy for you and to see what you guys have planned. Be blessed always.. have a safe and great stay
We loved Vietnam when we were there eight years ago. I’d like to know where the traffic is! Vietnamese iced coffee and the coconut coffee were our favourites. I did have some problems with food allergies, both wheat and peanuts so that was sad but I always found something to eat. Do take a scooter foodie tour when in HoChiMin City, so fun!
The reason why the city is so empty is this: Halong is the most touristy city in Vietnam, especially for foreign travelers. So after 2 years of covid with few tourists, the city's economy is basically dead, like absolutely devastated. It will take some time to recover.
So sorry to what you experience in the PhiLippines' pandemic two years ago. Thanks for seeing you around once again... You guys sure Looked a Lot better spirituaLLy, physicaLLy, and emotionaLLy😇😷🥳 In PaLawan, there where Lots of Vietnamese restaurants. VietviLLe is one of the popuLar in Puerto Princesa City 🏝️⛱️🏖️ Anyway, Vietnam is indeed, one of the best, most especiaLLy their food🫖🍜🫔stay safe
That coocnut coffee looked amazing! Vietnamese food is one of our favourites and we loved how every different city and town seemed to have their own unique cuisine. We particularly liked the food in Hoi An. If you go there be sure to try the white rose. It's so good!
So jealous! I lived in Bangkok for two years during Covid, and I had plans to travel to Hanoi, Halong Bay, and Ninh Binh. However, my flight was canceled and my entire trip was canceled due to the Covid pandemic. Hopefully I can visit someday. Until then…I’ll live vicariously through your videos. (I’m on my way now! 🎶 🕺 👀 🎥)
When in Hanoi get a tradional pork banh mi from a street vendor they are the best . Eating on the street is a whole different experience trust me we have been going over to Vietnam a lot
I am here in VN now. Basically no tourist are here now. But I love it like this 😁. Enjoy it guys. I just had the best soup I ever had in my whole life. I went on a walk - same place as in 2019. Most of the tourist shops - pizza- western beach wear- motorcycle rentals- they are all gone. So sad. That is here on the central coast. You will get used to VN - it’s not like anyplace you have experienced before. See you here on the coast.
Welcome to Vietnam, enjoy a great time from our country. Our country has 63 provinces and cities, let's explore all 63 provinces and cities. Very interesting! From Vietnam🇻🇳
So happy you’ve arrived safe and sound! Wow, it really does seem quiet there. Thanks for showing the stark reality of the local market, always love seeing that! This is going to be awesome, sleep well guys 🤗
Welcome to Vietnam. I hope you will happy in my country. And youre next time, welcome to Hochiminh City, Hoian city, Danang city and Phu Quoc island. 🌹
What beautiful views, really looking forward to seeing more as you travel around and explore. Love seeing the market and all the quick food places. At least initially things seem to be inexpensive but I am sure you will show more and more full dining restaurants perhaps. The language would be more difficult especially when buying (do they barter?). Anyway this is a fabulous experience, so glad it worked out.
@@DelightfulTravellers Just wanted to tell you both that people there wear masks outside because of the pollution and visitors will often suffer from sore throats. So just something to consider esp when you are in more busy and heavier traffic areas.
I'm so happy you've gone to visit Vietnam! I want to live there someday. The people are awesome, the scenery is amazing, the public transportation is really taking off (which is good because I hate driving), and it's surprisingly a lot less authoritarian than big media likes to depict. In fact, I daresay freedom and equality MUCH more protected there than here in the US. I have a few Vietnamese friends, and a couple of American-born friends who now live in Vietnam, and from what they tell me, it's an awesome place to live. The food is cheap and most often fresh, the housing is among the most affordable in the world (often times free for citizens), the medical system rivals even the best-performing European nations in the world, everyone is guaranteed to be paid enough to be able to live off of, there's very few pesky advertisements that we all know everyone ignores most of the time anyway, there's community gardens everywhere where people can get stuff for free, police brutality is almost non-existent (since most police aren't even allowed to carry guns in the first place, and all police have a very rigorous education program that usually takes around 4 years to complete), every political candidate is given equal levels of publicity (anyone who's a citizen can vote and even run for office at any level unless they're currently serving jail time), and businesses there put the people first, rather than profits. I don't know much about what goes on in the prisons yet, mainly because there are very few people actually arrested there anyway, but I do know that the prison conditions are a lot more humane than those in the US. The vast majority of people own their homes, and even for those that rent, the rent is capped at around 4% of their monthly income (depending on the area, it could be a little more or a little less). The vast majority of businesses are collectively owned (i.e. everyone who works there collectively owns the company), and everyone who works in said businesses gets equal say as to how the business is run (i.e. working conditions, where profits are allocated, hours, paid time off, how much is charged for the product or service provided, etc.). And best of all, you can be an artist, musician, author, animator, or any other job you want without the risk of starving or sleeping on the streets. No more trying to decide between having your dream job and making enough money to support yourself and your family. In Vietnam, you can have both.
Hello Fellow Canucks.. Great trip this will be in Vietnam. I look forward to seeing the videos you post of this country. I was in Thailand in 2011 it is also beautiful. Thank You Both. Eh! TM of Canadians
just read a horrible news from google about 1968 Vietnam war, there were 504 unarmed women and kids murdered by the US army soldiers. I was so so angry that why !!!!???
Ahh something in my head told me that Vinfast was involved since they had a lot of automotive journalists come to Vietnam recently, the Vingroup it is in fact spending a lot of money with the Vinfast introduction, they had a huge presence at the New York Auto show last week. Enjoy Vietnam , but hurry up and go back to the DR 😂😂
Yeah, Vinfast is really know how to do business. They work with the government there bring all the foreigners influencers to introduce to Vietnam. These people receive a different treatment deals than the rest of the ordinary people and they are make sure that these people only post the great side of the country!
I had cobra snake in a restaurant in VN. Nothing special but a good talking point for the future. Monkey brain was the only other thing on the menu. They prepare the live animals at your table and I couldn’t handle seeing a live monkey chopped up at my table. Avoid the dog meat restaurants.
That was sooo not a real Ban mi.. so excited for the series 🙏🇻🇳.. have been to Vietnam many times.. always go with food vendors that have lots of people at them , no matter how tiny the stall , have never had a bad tummy..😁🙏❤️🇻🇳
Just so you know about the mask situation: Some places require you to wear masks on (hospitals, schools, public parks, public venues, temples, etc). Other than that it is up to you to decide. I would recommend wearing them outside just from the traffic pollution. The government used to strictly control the wearing of masks in public, but because the epidemic has subsided, I no longer see them issuing fines anymore.
Good to know! I’m heading to Vietnam next week but couldn’t find any info on mask mandates. Does it mean it is not mandated anymore or the police just don’t bother enforcing outdoor mask wearing? And would it be more required for indoor settings?
@@DSShan in indoor settings, the security guards usually ask you to put on a mask. In outdoor settings, the people sometimes give you “the look” if you don’t have mask on. But mostly the people are polite.
We are looking forward to more Viet Nam videos. Also going to check out your Phillipines videos as my husband would love to go there some day. Great job on your intro Viet Nam video. Thanks Anna and Trevor. From fellow Canadians in Ontario.
Good luck shaking off the jet lag. Really looking forward to all the interesting things that you will show us. Markets are always different, and that coffee! Wow. Stay safe and enjoy.
I was pleasantly surprised to see an older couple traveling as it's mostly just young 20 somethings making traveling videos out there. :) I was wondering if you were part of that Vinfast campaign as I saw a video from Counting Countries where they stayed at that hotel. Check out his video. But also check out Sammy and Tommy's video they just put out - amazing work even though it took them 2 years to finally upload it. LOL! You guys should totally learn to ride bikes and do the Ha Giang Loop like Tim and Fin did (watch their hour long video on it and the cave video!). And check out Karl Watson's series on Vietnam, his 2nd video was AMAZING!
